Tuesday Writing...7/17/18..."Rejoicing, Patient, Steadfast"

Good Morning,

Today we have a writing about three things that will keep us on track with the Lord Jesus. We would be wise to build these qualities part of our habits. Sandy wrote, "Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation and continue steadfastly in prayer. As you have done these three things, step back and watch our mighty God minister powerfully according to His will.

Start honing these abilities, Ladies.

Today's Devotional
"Rejoicing, Patient, Steadfast"
by Sandy Billingham

There are three key factors in staying strong and on track with Jesus.

As I read that passage my spirit was encouraged greatly. We are fully aware that we will always have hope in our Lord Jesus. No matter how bleak things may look around us, we have that confidence that hope will always be there our entire life here on earth.

The passage goes on to say that we are to be patient in tribulation. None of us are immune to experiencing tribulation. While on this earth we will at some point, in fact many points walk through difficult and many times, painful trials. We will not escape it. Scripture tells us we are to be patient during those times. We can be assured that God is working everything out as we trust Him more. He will give us all the strength we need to be patient in the thick of it. Not only is God working everything out, but He is also desiring to do a powerful work in our life. He wants our relationship with Him to become more intimate and solid, rooted even more deeply. That will only happen if we will allow the Lord to do His work in us.

The third thing the passage tells us to do is continue steadfastly in prayer. I am a firm believer in prayer. Our Pastor was sharing today that everything happens in prayer first. It is going to our knees crying out day and night in humility. As we pray our God moves in every situation and intervenes on our behalf and those we are bringing before Him. He has the ultimate answer.

All three of these are great reminders as well as wonderful helps to walk us through our spiritual life successfully.

So my Friend, Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation and continue steadfastly in prayer. As you have done these three things, step back and watch our mighty God minister powerfully according to His will. You can be confident that He has the very best in mind for you and those you love.

  1. I think this will help me to respond when folks say that God does not answer their prayers. "He has the ultimate answer.". Not always the quickest answer, or the answer that favors us and our loved ones when we think it should, but the Ultimate Answer. The outcome that we see is not the end of the story!
