Good morning,
The Holy Spirit is indwelling in us to be our teacher and guide.

The topic for today is the necessity to go from static "baby Christians" to maturity. The Holy Spirit can help us in that effort. If we follow His guidance we will become mature. Carol wrote, "There are certain things God expects of His disciples as they grow into maturity -- daily Bible study, fervent prayer, fellowship with other believers, tithing to the church with financial resources, and being of service to our fellow man in any way we can."
It would do well even for mature Christians to seek to grow more in knowledge and spirituality.

"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,'
and do not do what I say?"
and do not do what I say?"
Luke 6:46
There are many Christians who are that in name only. Yes, they may have saving faith in Jesus and attend church weekly and maybe an occasional Bible class, but they remain babies in God's eyes.
God sent the twelve disciples out to make "disciples" of all nations. A disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ -- one who seeks in all of life to emulate His example. This takes commitment and obedience.
A disciple of Christ learns to do what is right in God's sight, not their own and not society's with its changing standards. There are certain things God expects of His disciples as they grow into maturity -- daily Bible study, fervent prayer, fellowship with other believers, tithing to the church with financial resources, and being of service to our fellow man in any way we can.
Remember the parable of the servants with the talents who had to give an accounting to their master? Someday all who call themselves Christians will give an accounting to God of how they lived their earthly lives. God will reward those who just didn't "say" things but obediently "obeyed" His will.
Do you need to grow in any of these areas?
Start now. Develop some discipline and new
good habits by the power of the Holy Spirit.
good habits by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Just do it!
