Good Morning,
The theme of this writing is the cross and what it meant to our being given righteous and a ticket to paradise for eternity. Jesus paid the price for all of the evil of the world when He submitted to death on the cross. Carol wrote, "In Jesus we die to our sinful ways and follow Him, only to learn we are fully alive now and will be through all eternity. The cross is foolishness to those who are perishing. To us who believe -- O the wonderful cross!"
Thanking God for the salvation offered.

in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ..."

Hearing the title, "The Wonderful Cross," makes a contemporary hymn come immediately to my mind. Part of the chorus states that the cross bids me come and die only to find that I truly live.
I think one of the most difficult struggles people have with Christianity is that we have a Savior who came to earth to die on the cross for our sins. Other religions can't comprehend that at all. Most people don't see the need for anyone dying for their sins -- after all, we aren't so bad compared to the mass murderer being tried in the courts, or the swindlers who brought down the financial market with their greed. We all live pretty good lives and try to be decent citizens.
In Jesus we die to our sinful ways and follow Him, only to learn we are fully alive now and will be through all eternity. The cross is foolishness to those who are perishing. To us who believe -- O the wonderful cross!

People seem to find reasons to deny the role of Jesus
in making it possible for us to become the righteousness of Jesus.
What He did made it possible for those who accept His gift.
I pray that those who think there is no need for what Jesus did
study the issue and change when they realize
the beauty of His sacrifice.
