Friday Writing...5/25/18..."In The Palm Of His Hand"

Good Morning,

The theme today is about how much God loves us. As the title indicates He loves us enough to hold us in the palm of His hand. I would recommend that you read Psalm 139 sometime later today and you will really get an amazing picture of how He loves us. Karen wrote, "Help us to live in Your beautiful truths and let our souls rejoice in Your words. You’ve made Your love for us ever so clear. Let us always remember..."

Have a great day of basking in the amazing love of our Lord...be blessed.

Today's Devotional

"In The Palm Of His Hand"
by Karen Bennett

It’s incredible to realize how often God says “I love you” in His Scripture. It’s beautiful to read His promises to us, made with so much love we aren’t even able to fathom it. We simply know it’s true. Throughout the Bible we not only see that He loves His children, but we also see many of the different ways He shows His love and the ways He provides for us.  Just imagine, our names are engraved on the palms of His hands.

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget, I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands...”
Isaiah 49:15-16a.

God assures us time and again of His love, provision, and protection for us. He’s proven it to us by the history that unfolds in book upon book of the Bible. We read over and over of the ways He displayed His love to the children of Israel and we have seen it most profoundly and abundantly in our own lives and those of people we know

“I am your hiding place, I will protect you
from trouble and surround you with songs of deliverance.
...I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should
go
...I will counsel you and watch over you.
Rejoice in Me...”
Psalm 37: 7-11.

He gives strength when we need it by trusting Him to help us through times when we feel overwhelmed or threatened in any way. He will keep us strong even under persecution. His love carries us through all of life’s storms no matter how rough they may be.

“Because I am at your right hand,
you will not be shaken.
Therefore let your heart be glad

and your tongue rejoice...
live in hope, I will not abandon you.”
Acts 2: 25-27.

One of the most comforting and beautiful things He tells us repeatedly in Scripture is that He is always with us and will never leave us. He’s there through joys and sorrows and we never have to feel alone, abandoned, or forsaken. Our Lord is with us wherever and will never make us face anything alone! He wants us to know He is right beside us!

O Lord, these are but a few of the ways You show us You are our most loving Father and not only tell us You’re with us, but prove it as well. Help us to live in Your beautiful truths and let our souls rejoice in Your words. You’ve made Your love for us ever so clear. Let us always remember. “Fear not for I have redeemed you, you are mine.” .........Isaiah 43:1

And oh, how joyful we are! Amen.

Although we can never love with the intensity
of how God loves, still, we can love in ways
that will bless others. Here are some Scripture verses
that will show us how to love more powerfully.
Tomorrow let's work at showing others
our love and blessing them!
