This is the writing from Monday. I am sorry, I was late in posting it. I think that some readers did not get to read it, and I want to give you a second chance to read it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Good morning,
Today's writing is deep and impressive. Take the time to read and think about it...you will be blessed by the themes running through it to make a point about who we are in God and what He has given us. Collette wrote, "Your DNA states that you were always intertwined with The Heavenly Father. You were made by Him and in His Image. By adoption, when you RECEIVE AND ACCEPT Him, you are forever intertwined with Him as well, on into eternity."
A dear friend and mentor of ours posted a special memory of his childhood, this morning. He made note of a very elderly gentleman that lived in one of the many houses in a neighborhood where he walked about 1 1/2 miles to school one way, each day. He would stop and talk to this gentleman on his way home.

He proclaimed, emphatically, “Give me liberty, or give me death!” Most know that his name is Patrick Henry. My maiden name...had my biological dad been raised by his biological dad, and I by my biological dad would have been Henry. DNA states that I was always intertwined with Patrick Henry. My adoption states that I’m forever intertwined with Carl E. Robertson.

"The Story of People"

A dear friend and mentor of ours posted a special memory of his childhood, this morning. He made note of a very elderly gentleman that lived in one of the many houses in a neighborhood where he walked about 1 1/2 miles to school one way, each day. He would stop and talk to this gentleman on his way home.
This was in the middle of Birmingham, Alabama, during the height of The Civil Rights movement. My friend who is white was a young boy, then, and the always-very-well-dressed gentleman was a black man who had been born into slavery in Demopolis, Alabama.
I read the account to my husband as it was just so precious, nostalgic, and thought-provoking.My husband and I love to hear other people’s stories. We love history, historical places, peoples, and events. Our stories matter. Even if you think they don’t, they do.
Someone wants to hear your story. No matter how bad, good, or boring you think it to be, Someone cares. He cares so much that He had His friends write down His Own Story, as He revealed it to them, and how His Story intertwined with ours ... or maybe, how ours intertwines with His.
You see, ... whether you believe in Him, or not,
your story is intertwined with His.
your story is intertwined with His.
I was adopted legally by my maternal grandmother and step-grandfather when I was a young girl. I learned a year ago that my biological, paternal aunt was living in California. We spoke for over an hour, and she shared with me some of my biological histories. Despite not knowing him outside of history books, or having any knowledge that I was even remotely related to him, it turns out that I’m a direct descendant of the man who made one of the boldest statements in all of American History.

Robertson.
Correlation:
Your DNA states that you were always intertwined with The Heavenly Father. You were made by Him and in His Image. By adoption, when you RECEIVE AND ACCEPT Him, you are forever intertwined with Him as well, on into eternity. He made you, but He’s never going to force a relationship with you. He’s a good, loving, forgiving, gracious Father. Receive him, and His Story...Receive Him, and His Son.
“For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
“For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again,
but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons
by which we cry out, ‘Abba! Father!’ “
Romans 8:15
AND LET’S NOT FORGET ... the liberty we have in Christ Jesus!
“Now the Lord is the Spirit,
and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is liberty.”
there is liberty.”
2 Corinthians 3:17
It is with these scriptures in mind
that I quote my many times' great-grandfather,
Patrick Henry.
