Good Morning,
The theme for today is the fact that God says in his word that His people should not be anxious about anything. It says that we are to pray and ask Him for peace. and our requests will be granted. Sandy wrote, "Next time that anxiousness and worry start to rise up in your heart, lay it at the feet of Jesus with thanksgiving and watch Him work it out. In the meantime, you are basking in His peace. I will take His peace over worry any time!!"
I love to watch the old "Leave it to Beaver" re-runs. I can always take away a special nugget from every episode I see. Recently I was watching a re-run where June the mother was talking to Beaver around bedtime. Her older son Wally was out a little later than usual and she was a bit concerned. Beaver asked his mom if she was worried. Her reply was,"When you are raising a family there is always something to worry about."
God tells us we are not to worry... period!! Not only are we not to worry but we are to immediately take our concerns onto Him by prayer and supplication. We should come with a thankful heart as well. The beauty in following His Word on worry is that He will grant us His peace which will guard our hearts and minds through Him.
Jesus did what He did in order
to ensure our spending eternity with Him
in heaven.
Prayers are lifted up daily for

"Be Anxious For Nothing"

I love to watch the old "Leave it to Beaver" re-runs. I can always take away a special nugget from every episode I see. Recently I was watching a re-run where June the mother was talking to Beaver around bedtime. Her older son Wally was out a little later than usual and she was a bit concerned. Beaver asked his mom if she was worried. Her reply was,"When you are raising a family there is always something to worry about."
We as moms can all relate to June's statement. It's hard not to worry and be concerned about our children. It's seems even more challenging in today's world. But our God has another take on how he views any type of worrying.
He tells us specifically in His Word...
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding, will guard
your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7
I don't know about you, but I will exchange my worry for peace from God any time possible. When we are walking in His peace, we are trusting Him to take care of our every concern. When we are walking in His peace we are able to go about our day with full confidence everything is in the hands of Jesus.
Next time that anxiousness and worry start to rise up in your heart, lay it at the feet of Jesus with thanksgiving and watch Him work it out. In the mean time you are basking in His peace. I will take His peace over worry any time!!
