We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Tuesday's Writing..."GOD WILL FIGHT FOR US"...4/24/18

Good Morning,

The writing for today declares the absolute belief that the writer has that God takes care of His children. Sandy wrote, "I do know, as we cry out to the Lord for His help, He will save us! He is mighty to save and He will always fight for us against our enemies to save us all our days and bring Victory!" What a wonderful God we have!

In His Victory,
Sandy & Corinne

Today's Devotional

"GOD WILL FIGHT FOR US"
by
Sandy Billingham

When taking my daily walk yesterday morning in our neighborhood greenbelt, I encountered a very somewhat frightening, intriguing thing at the same time. I spotted one of our local golden hawks on the ground surrounded by a family of blue jays. Not only had they surrounded him, but they were squawking crazily at him. They circled him continuously and swooped down upon him attacking him time and time again. All the hawk could do was duck. In the clutches of his talons was a fellow blue jay. I was not close enough to see if it was full grown or a baby blue jay. I would venture to say it was a baby learning to fly, and it was an
enticing moment for the hawk's morning appetizer.

I tried to get close enough to have an effect in getting the hawk to let the bird go, but that only caused him to fly away where he landed on a branch in a tree. The blue jays were relentless and adamant that they would get their family member back somehow, so they continued their strategy to retrieve their beloved. After the countless attacks on the hawk's body, he would then venture to another tree with the same scenario playing out with the blue jays.

After watching the activity of the birds for quite some time, it reminded me how our loving Father will do whatever it takes to remove His children from the grips of the enemy. Our God is extremely relentless and adamant to see His kids set free to live for Him.

A passage in the word says,

"For the Lord, your God is He who goes with you,
to fight for you against your enemies, to save you."
Deuteronomy 20:4

Our God is fiercely jealous for His own and goes with us and fights for us intensely to save us and bring us to Victory! He will see to it that the enemies talons that have been dug into our mind and heart will one by one be uprooted!

Unfortunately, I do not know if the blue jay's life was spared or not yesterday. What I do know, as we cry out to the Lord for His help, He will save us! He is mighty to save and He will always fight for us against our enemies to save us all our days
and bring Victory!

The theme of today's writing brings to mind
the way God goes after us as  in this song
by Cory Asbury
"RECKLESS LOVE"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Life is complete when we serve a God such as this God
because He serves us back, There may be valleys that
we labor through but with the Lord by our side we are safe!
