Good Morning,
The writing today is titled "NEGATIVE IMPLICATIONS." It talks about the negative implications of the challenges that one must face in this chaotic modern world. Things like loneliness, feelings of disconnection, and a myriad of other things make life hard. However, Jesus has told us that He is the vine upon which we, the branches, can live much more successfully as we attach to Him, the vine. The author wrote of the solution for the modern world, "Apart from Jesus we are and can do nothing. Feeling broken? Get grafted into the vine of Life -- believe in the Lord Jesus Christ."
So, if you are flailing around, it would behoove you to get yourself grafted in.
Have a weekend where "THE VINE" showers blessings on you.

"NEGATIVE IMPLICATIONS"
"I am the vine;
you are the branches.
If a man remains in me and I in him,
he will bear
much fruit;
apart from me you can do nothing."
John 15:5
In spite of all of the advances in this world, or maybe because of them, people
are still feeling disconnected and alienated as never before. Many people
are lonely and find their friendships on face book or via the internet, never
connecting face-to-face with a real person. Other people are unwell
because of the stressors of a fast moving society. We can barely keep up
with all of the new technology and the requirements of daily living.
Others face an inner poverty. The government has removed God from our
society. Everything goes. There are no absolute truths. All
religions are the same -- "dead ends."
So how do we rise above the negative? We find ourselves only when we
connect back to the vine -- Jesus Christ. He is the vine, we are the
branches. He is the One who gives us life, and health, and purpose, and
meaning. He only is the One who brings us forgiveness and
salvation. This is just how the vine nourishes and supports and
feeds its' branches in order for the fruit to grow.
