Good Morning,
Sandy Billingham wrote this writing which she titled, "Light Shines Out Of The Darkness" It is the story of a real happening in her life. A neighbor sitting in his car in the wee hours of the morning had saved her son's car from being stolen. She uses a quotation from Isaiah as a scripture to illustrate what had happened. Sandy penned another thought about God that her story shows. She wrote,"It was no coincidence that Geo was hanging out in his car at 4:00 am. God saw to it that Geo would be there and knew he would turn his headlights on...I told Geo that every night I pray for God's angels to watch over our home and vehicles and street. God was faithful to answer my prayer."
Isn't it a wonderful blessing to know that God will answer our prayers?
God bless,
Sandy and Corinne

"Light Shines Out Of
The Darkness"
Last week my neighbor Geo
came running over to me as I was coming home from a luncheon. I
could tell by his facial expression that he had
something urgent to tell me.
I stood there that
day stunned and grateful as Geo unfolded the event that had happened
early that morning. Geo lives a couple houses up from us and was sitting in his
vehicle facing our house at 4:00 am that morning. He had a perfect
birds eye view of our home and surroundings.
My husband has
been working on our son's car and parked it in the
street the evening before. He neglected to lock it because it said
there were issues with the lock.
As Geo was sitting in his car he suddenly noticed a vehicle that pulled up right beside my son's car. Immediately a person in the passenger side got out and opened my son's door and slid in. The person had a flashlight and appeared quite confident of what he was doing. Geo quickly turned his headlights on so they would shine bright on my son's car and the person in it.
With no hesitation the
person flew out of the car and dashed in the back seat of the car he
came in, and they took off! Geo stayed in his car for
a time to make sure these people were not planning on coming
back.
I had no words
for a while as I tried processing what had happened early
that morning. It was no coincidence that Geo
was hanging out in his car at 4:00 am. God saw
to it that Geo would be there and knew he would turn his
headlights on.
I told Geo that every
night I pray for God's angels to watch over our home
and vehicles and street. God was faithful to answer my prayer.
God used my sweet 21 year old neighbor boy to protect our
son's car from being stolen or destruction of any kind.
That day all I could do
was praise Jesus and thank Him for His outrageous goodness!!
His Word
tells us...
Those who dwelt in
the land
of the shadow of death,
of the shadow of death,
Upon them a light
has shined."
Isaiah 9:2
Early that morning Jesus
our Great Light shone brightly on that person that was walking in
darkness. That person dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, and upon
him Jesus shined.
I am praying for
that person that our Great Light Jesus will reveal Himself to him and
all darkness will flee!
In the meantime, I
continue to rejoice and share with my neighbors and friends what a Mighty
God we have. Not only does He deeply care for us, but He evens cares
about our stuff!!
Praise God from Whom ALL
Blessings Flow!!!
Walking in His Light,
Sandy Billingham
