Good morning,
Today'a writing by Carol Steficek actually speaks of getting older with sullied ideas of the importance youth and attractiveness while in actuality we are all aging...which she calls "fading away." She reminds people that it is paramount that they bring God into the process. Carol wrote, "Don't fade before you are refreshed and enlivened by the living Word of God. Come away with God now while you can."
No matter how busy you are or taken up by lots of interest. be sure to bring the information God offers that will help you to live forever.
God bless,
Carol and Corinne

"FADING AWAY"
"For,
All men
are like grass, and all their glory
is like the flowers of the field;
the grass
withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord stands forever.'"
I Peter 1:24-25
This society is obsessed with youth. Everyone wants to look, feel, and
act younger than their age. This isn't inherently wrong unless a person
focuses so much on this that they push everything else aside to attain the goal
of enduring youth.
Every day we get up, like it or not, we are one day older. No matter what
we do, we all grow old. Many people focus on living for today and put God
on hold. He is someone they can think about at a later date -- when they
have time or nothing else to do, or are so old that God is an acceptable
alternative.
The problem is, we don't know what stage we'll be in when we finally come to
God. Will our minds and spirits be sharp enough to comprehend His
Word? Will we even be able to see to read the Bible or a devotional
book? Will we be strong enough to get to church?
Our mortal bodies age and fade away. What if you are cut down in your
prime when you thought you had many more years to flower? What if you die
before making a commitment to Christ?
The Word of the Lord is very specific when it says that Jesus is the only Way
to the Father. Generations have come and gone, most to never be
remembered, but the Word of the Lord still abides. Don't fade before you
are refreshed and enlivened by the living Word of God. Come away with God
now while you can.
