Well it is almost here...the weekend!
"ADVERSITY" is the title of the devotional that Carol Steficek has written. She anchors her thoughts on Psalm 91:1 which she quotes. Therefore, her theme is centered on the fact that we need to go to God with every thing that concerns us. Carol wrote, "When adversity strikes, God wants us to call upon Him and rest while He does the work. He doesn't want us to wear ourselves out..."

"ADVERSITY"
"He who dwells in
the shelter
of the Most High
will rest in the shadow
of the Almighty."
Psalm 91:1
It takes a great deal of struggle and defeat before most of us realize how
powerless we are. we try to do things ourselves and sometimes it's like
beating our heads against a wall.
God wants us to do the polar opposite. When adversity strikes, God wants
us to call upon Him and rest while He does the work. He doesn't want us
to wear ourselves out physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually when we
can rely upon His wisdom and strength and power.
Are you facing daunting challenges in life? Before you wear yourself out
needlessly, go to the One who does not grow tired or weary. Go to the One
who has all knowledge and wisdom. Go to the One who lives in the future
and has already seen the end. Take shelter in the Most High God.
