Good morning...
Have a wonderful Tuesday and take some time to do something that you never do.
God bless from
Corinne
Enjoy!
Today I took a walk. Not big news for you but for me it was an accomplishment. Walking would always be my last choice; it takes too much time away from all the things that I need to do. I am trying to realign my priorities, and do things that are good choices for me to spend time on. Have you ever thought that there is just not enough hours in a day? Well when you have a priority to do something you will make the time for it. I have decided to give it a try.
Have a wonderful Tuesday and take some time to do something that you never do.

The Devotional component in the Tuesday Writings of Women's Focus Ministries is titled, "Whatever State To Be Content" and was written by Sandy Billingham. Sandy has been inspired by Paul's statement that he can enjoy contentment no matter what the circumstances he finds himself in. Sandy wrote, "As we release "the discontentment" of this life in full surrender to Jesus, that is when the contentment begins to flow."
Enjoy!

To me that is a classic statement from Paul. He has mastered life itself, that in all the major dynamics of living he confidently can say he can be content.
It is then, and only then as we give up our rights to hold on to the things that imprison us and keep us discontent, can we experience that content. It is that full surrender of all the cares of this life that God is saying, "I will carry them, I will take them, I will work those things out; if you will but let me."
" For the Christian, heaven is where Jesus is. We do not need to speculate on what heaven will be like. It is enough to know that we will be for ever with Him.

"Whatever State To Be Content"

I sense I have a long way to go to be able to confidently say as Paul says...
.
"Not that I speak in regard to need,
for I have learned to whatever state I am, to be content."
Philippians 4:11
To me that is a classic statement from Paul. He has mastered life itself, that in all the major dynamics of living he confidently can say he can be content.
To me that is a "Wow" statement. I can not wait to meet Paul in heaven and tell him how much he has challenged me to me more like Jesus. Paul has fiercely endured many treacherous storms and has come out a stronger lover of God in the midst of the his troubles. He has definitely has his weak moments, but many, many times has hit the mark!
To be able to be content, our focus must always be in the Lord. We must take captive of our every thought and bring it to the obedience of Christ. We must also strive to surrender our heartaches, our trials, our misconceptions, our challenges onto the Lord.
It is then, and only then as we give up our rights to hold on to the things that imprison us and keep us discontent, can we experience that content. It is that full surrender of all the cares of this life that God is saying, "I will carry them, I will take them, I will work those things out; if you will but let me."
As we release "the discontentment" of this life in full surrender to Jesus, that is when the contentment begins to flow. We can then say as Paul says, "....for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content."
In His Contentment,
Sandy Billingham
