Good morning...
Today I was directed and got a lot of things done in a relatively short time. I usually do not plan my time very well. So time gets wasted, and I get frustrated and hard on myself. This morning I did not dilly dally. I just kept plugging. I had been praying to the Lord to help me get my act together so that I would no longer feel powerless to get things done. In the end I met a friend for lunch and dropped of some boxes and a thrift store. When I came home I felt the time was mine. As I am writing this I realize that God had heard my prayer, and the fact that I had a success was a reason to thank God.
Well, here we are at the end of the week. It is June 3rd and my oldest grandchild, Michael, graduates from high school tonight. Tempus fugit. (Latin for "Time flies.")
Have a fantabulous Friday.
God bless from
Corinne
The Devotional component in the Tuesday Writings of Women's Focus Ministries is titled, "Ecce Homo" and was written by Corinne Mustafa. Corinne was educated in christian schools from elementary through college. This education provided a lot of Theology. She has a relationship with God now that means the world to her. However. she has benefitted by an early knowledge of the Theology behind the One with Whom she has a relationship. Here is a quote from the writing, "When you look at Jesus…when you “behold the man”…whom do you see? Please spend some time thinking about whom you see, and what He means to you. Pray a prayer of praise and thanks to Jesus who brought you salvation and eternal life to be lived for eternity with Him." This would be a good use of time to ponder this.

Today's Devotional
"Ecce Homo"
written by
Corinne Mustafa
Ecce Homo...BEHOLD THE MAN
Then Jesus came out,
wearing the crown of thorns
wearing the crown of thorns
and the purple robe.
And Pilate said to them,
And Pilate said to them,
“Behold the Man!”
John 19:5
KJV
John 19:5
KJV
Pilate had washed his hands of the whole decision about what to do with Jesus.
He did not have the courage to share what he knew. He did not pay attention to
his wife’s warning that he should not condemn Jesus. So he washed his hands.
What did people see when they beheld this man?
·
Mary saw her newborn baby
and marveled that he was the Son of God.
·
The learned men in the
temple saw a twelve year old boy who was wise beyond his years.
·
John the Baptist saw his
cousin. He baptized him and said he was not worthy to loosen his sandal.
·
The devil saw Jesus as a
person he could tempt in the dessert for forty days. Jesus was not tempted.
·
The angels saw Him as He
really is, and they came to minister to Him in the dessert
·
Two
brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew saw Jesus and they recognized that He was special. When Jesus said, "Come, follow Me, and I
will make you fishers of men," they followed Him.
·
Many
people saw Him as a teacher. They followed Him to learn how to live and how to
become holy.
·
The rabbis saw Him as a threat to their power. They were jealous; they hated Him; they feared Him, and conspired against Him.
When you look at
Jesus…when you “behold the man”…whom do you see?
Please spend some time thinking about whom you see, and
what He means to you. Pray a prayer of praise and thanks to Jesus who brought
you salvation and eternal life to be lived for eternity with Him.If you would like to share your answers to this question you can share a comment at the end of today's writings. Conversations with Cory,,,
- Just watched an amazing teaching by this great leader. Chew on this thought today. What discomfort are you avoiding that just might make you stronger?
- Learning the unforced rhythms of His grace.
- The way we end a thing is the way we start the next thing. How are you doing as you closed your last issue or challenge? What is the focus of your life? What is the center...the first thing? As you move toward your future think about what you learned and try to apply it.

Quotes of Famous Christians
Past and Present
"He knows where every, separate little heap of dust rests--the dust of a Peter and of a Paul,--all to be raised in a moment and made glorious bodies like unto His own. Then it will come out in a volume, the whole sum and substance of the gospel of the glory shut up in Him."
Author: G.V. Wigram
1805 - 1879
"With the demonstration of the naturalness of the supernatural, scepticism even may come to be regarded as unscientific. And those who have wrestled long for a few bare truths to ennoble life and rest their souls in thinking of the future will not be left in doubt."
Author: Henry Drummond
1786-1890
"The most vital concern for each of us is to have a joyful and fulfilled future... Whatever people hope for in the future, that is what they worship, and whatever people worship, that is what they inevitably serve."
Author: Daniel Fuller August 28, 1925 -
