I am trying to get caught up and to do the things that need to be done. It seems that every time I turn around something happens that ties me up, slows me down, and interrupts my plans. Please whisper a quick prayer for me.

In "Reaching Forward," written by Sandy Billingham, the theme is how present God is to us whenever we come to Him. He is always cheering us on to move forward with Him. We are no longer our past. Sandy writes, "Every day in Christ is a new and fresh day and a time we can experience God in richer and deeper ways!..We are to forget those things which are behind us and press onward to what the Lord has prepared for us."
This is a very interesting writing.

Daily I am grateful that we have a God that we can reach out to every moment of our life.
He is always there to encourage us and spur us on to go to higher ground with Him. The last thing He would want for us is to stay where we are at. The Lord has so many things He wants to show us and speak to us about. We as His children have to be willing to press into Him and continually put our ear to close to hear His heartbeat and the words from His lips.
The Lord is fully aware of the many obstacles and hardships we have dealt with in our life. He was there to walk with us through them and help us every step of the way. We have gleaned from them and grown stronger from the tough times, but God does not want us to stay there.
He tells us in His Word in Philippians 3:13
"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended;
but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind
and reaching forward to those things which are ahead."
Each day I will press in harder for the abundant blessings the Lord has in store for me! I do not want to miss out on knowing God in more profound and greater ways!! He is truly all that matters in this life.

The Lord gave me this verse
years ago. I believed that this was His promise for my life.
For so long all I
could "see" were the ruined places. The desolation. I learned to live
from that place. Never truly expecting anything more.
But. The Lord had other plans. For me. For my life. For my marriage. For my
children. And for theirs.
Today. I stand amazed. At all the Lord has done. He has kept His promise. My
eyes have witnessed the "ruined" places. Rebuilt. My heart has felt.
And known the miracle. Of those empty, "desolate" places. Being
filled in. With love. And peace. With hope. And joy.
Thank you Lord. For your goodness. For your wisdom. For your grace. For being
the One in whom I could trust. For being trustworthy. And faithful. For being
so loving and so kind. For being the same. Yesterday, Today and Forever.
Thank you. For not being a respecter. Of people. Of places. Of circumstances.
But for being one God. One Father. Over us all.
