Good morning...
I just got home from my Bible Study. This year we have been studying "The Story." This study takes you through the Old and New Testaments. It has been an amazing study. It teaches and shows that there is an Upper Story of what God's plan was through the ages to share fellowship with His Creations throughout time. He loves us so much that He did everything to show love and salvation...even in the sacrifice of His beloved Son so that we can be saved and eligible to spend eternity with Him. The Lower Story tells what has been happening on earth with people who affected by God's plans and wishes for us. I understand God's plans for us and what He has done to make them happen, in a new and special way.
Today the devotional is named, "Imagine,"a poem written by Corinne Mustafa, talks about the ills of this world that we have to deal with. Then, in the final four stanzas, what God is doing to affect things and what the final result will be.

I look around and wonder
What God is really thinking
When He looks down on us
Working on teaching us how to be
I can only imagine
It makes me sad.
Children never to be born
Or living lives of hurt
No one taking caring for them
Or teaching them about Him
How will they ever know how to be?
When I try to imagine
My heart feels bad.
Adults living devoid of kindness
Making no choices for morality
Grabbing it before it is given
Taking all; giving back naught
Thinking the ultimate mistake
God helps those who help themselves
Will they ever know how to be?
Wish they could imagine
It is really very sad.

And He waits and watches
Bringing secret people who speak
Into lives with words and example
And some finally get it
Find out that God even helps
Those who couldn’t help themselves
Will the world ever get better?
I like to imagine that it will
And then it will be different.
Suddenly heads are looking up
Listening for His whisper in the wind
Looking for His miracles in ordinary things
Trying to know the value of all life
Loving others as He loves us
Following where He would lead us
Is this what the world could be like?
Perhaps we could imagine
That things have improved a tad.
Think the war has ended
I see a Man up on that hill
He is teaching brotherhood
He is teaching loving kindness
He is showing us what we need
Could this be the thousand years we waited for?
I am beginning to imagine
Wow! This is really rad!
Let me help you with that
Here take mine I don’t need it
Brothers and sisters forever
Have we finally come home?
This is no longer just imagination
And there is no more need to be sad.
One summer evening during a violent thunderstorm a mother was tucking her small boy into bed. She was about to turn off the light when he asked with a tremor in his voice, "Mommy, will you sleep with me tonight?" The mother smiled and gave him a reassuring hug. "I can't, dear," she said. "I have to sleep in Daddy's room."

"Imagine"

Corinne Mustafa
This is a poem that I wrote in 2009. When you read it the theme becomes obvious.
What God is really thinking
When He looks down on us
Working on teaching us how to be
I can only imagine
It makes me sad.
Or living lives of hurt
No one taking caring for them
Or teaching them about Him
How will they ever know how to be?
When I try to imagine
My heart feels bad.
Kids going to school
Dressed in black and white
Smoking who knows what
Hair in spikes
Bodies pierced
Will they ever know how to be?
Could they ever imagine
Perhaps it is just a fad.
Dressed in black and white
Smoking who knows what
Hair in spikes
Bodies pierced
Will they ever know how to be?
Could they ever imagine
Perhaps it is just a fad.
Adults living devoid of kindness
Making no choices for morality
Grabbing it before it is given
Taking all; giving back naught
Thinking the ultimate mistake

He is showing us what we need
Could this be the thousand years we waited for?
I am beginning to imagine
Wow! This is really rad!
People loving people
Not seeing the colors of race
No more greed and fighting
Behaving as children of God
Is this where He always wanted us to be?
This is what I always imagined
These are the best times we have had.
Not seeing the colors of race
No more greed and fighting
Behaving as children of God
Is this where He always wanted us to be?

I am home
He is up there on His throne glorified
Smiling His love on me
I no longer have to imagine
And now I’m truly glad.

And now I’m truly glad.

Out of the Mouths of Babes
A long silence was broken at last by his shaky little voice: "The big sissy."

In The News - Music
Do you think that people are being "judgemental" here
based on what Juatin Bieber said?
based on what Juatin Bieber said?
Pop star Justin Bieber has defended himself after some fans accused him of comparing himself to God on social media.
Bieber shared a photo of himself from earlier this week sleeping with his dog and the caption: "and on the 7th day [...]"
The young pop star then received a rash of criticism from some who thought the musician was comparing himself to God in Genesis 2:2, which reads: "By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work" (NIV).
The 22-year-old star has not been afraid to express his evangelical faith before, and has been open about his close friendships to several prominent pastors, including Carl Lentz of Hillsong Church in New York City and Judah Smith of The City Church in Seattle, Washington.Bieber clarified his intent on Instagram on Thursday, writing: "AND MY GOODNESS I WAS MAKING A REFERENCE, I AM NOT COMPARING MYSELF TO GOD IM THE FARTHEST THING FROM!!!! IT WAS MY WAY OF SAYING HOW IMPORTANT REST IS.. WHEN THERE IS NOTHING TO PICK AT ME FOR YOU MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING BUT I GET IT YOU NEED RATINGS AND TRACTION YOUR BLOGS. But if truthfully if you were offended it was in no way shape or form me comparing myself to the most high."
When Bieber debuted his "Purpose" album earlier this year in Los Angeles, he was accompanied by Smith onstage as the two discussed the new album and spirituality.
Smith has previously said that Bieber should not be judged differently due to his celebrity status, suggesting that the young pop star is very similar to other men his age.
Bieber has been involved in some difficult legal issues earlier, including being arrested in Florida on suspicion of drunk driving, and facing charges of vandalism.
"I think people would be surprised to discover that their challenges and struggles are not too dissimilar to us, average ordinary people. We're all looking for essentially the same thing and I think that's faith and hope and love and meaning, and of course satisfaction, peace, joy," Smith told Fox 411 last year.
Lentz also referenced his friendship with Bieber in a social media post this week, posting a photo of himself with the pop star and rapper Lil Wayne.
The evangelical pastor wrote in the photo's caption that Christians must avoid classifying people based on limited information, such as their celebrity status.
"[…] Because these individuals are 'well known', immediately it will elicit reactions [...] mostly harsh, because it's easier/lazy to classify that which you can't fully understand, than to pursue depth and reasoning. Projecting insecurity and bad motives is a full time job for too many people..If they were not well known'? Much more palatable for people! Why? Because we classify that as well and are not threatened by things that fit neatly into our ready made classification prism," Lentz wrote.
The pastor added that Christians must work not to dispense love and grace how they see fit, but how God sees fit, suggesting that God distributes his grace "quickly and freely."
"Should make it really easy for all of us who claim to follow Jesus, to show grace and love exactly how we were given it: freely and quickly, regardless of our SHARED, INHERENT 'class'. Sinners [...] grace?? It changes the story," Lentz added.
