Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Tuesday Writings......5/25/16

Good morning...
Today I did some errands in the morning. They were not exciting...just duty.kinds of things. I was reminded of that song that says when talk
ing about housekeeping activities and the song said, "Do everything you do unto the Lord." So be grateful to do these mundane things that serve good in your life. Sometimes a reward comes. After lunch I went to a get together of the people of my writing class, and tonight our Bible study group is having it's end of the year party. Fun!
Have a tickle me pink Tuesday, and don't forget to thank God for all He gives you by which you are tickled.

God bless from
Corinne

The devotional segment in Tuesday Writings of Women's Focus Ministries was written by Diane Sutton. The title is "Learning to be Content." This can be compared to having joy at all times even when things may not be perfect. If one is to live a comfortable life it is important to be content with what she has. Diane writes, "As believers, we can learn to be content like Paul.  We can be content because God gives us the strength to endure our circumstances.  We can be content because we can depend on God to supply all our needs based on His Word." She supports what she has written by several Scripture references.

"Learning to be Content"
written by
Diane Sutton

We each have gone through tough times, frustrating days and disappointing seasons. We encounter times when it seems nothing is going well and we seem to be spending most of our prayer time requesting answers to our numerous needs.

At one time the needs I prayed for seemed endless. I was not happy no matter what situation I found myself in. I always needed something more than what I had and was never satisfied.
In scripture Paul writes,

Not that I speak from want, for I have learned
to be content in whatever circumstances I am.
I know how to get along with humble means,
and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any
and every circumstance.  I have learned the secret
of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance, and
suffering need. I can do all things  through Him who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:11-13
(NASB)

As believers, we can learn to be content like Paul.  We can be content because God gives us the strength to endure our circumstances.  We can be content because we can depend on God to supply all our needs based on His Word.  Since we believe and know that the Word of God is true we can trust that His provisions for us will be enough to cover our needs.

Our heavenly Father already knows our needs before we ask (Matthew 6:32) and will supply all our needs from his glorious riches (Phil 4:19). God himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need. (Act 17:25)

Because we know that God will satisfy all our needs, we can be content today and be confident that God will provide for our needs tomorrow as well.

Lord, we praise you for your abundant provisions and for knowing what we need even before we know what our need will be. We praise you for your goodness and unwavering love for us. Teach us to be content in every circumstance for we will lack in nothing according to your promises. Teach us to endure any circumstance because of your strength within us.  In your precious name, amen.

This is what happened to me
when my husband came into my life.
I was so afraid that
I almost let him slip by... almost.
Trusting again is hard.
But it can be so worth it in the end.
Good things still happen
and dreams still do come true!

Man In Dressing Room Says He Was 'A Woman Today'

A female shopper at the Ross Dress for Less Department store in Mesquite, Texas, could not believe her ears when she heard a man's voice in the woman's dressing room. The male customer was allowed to enter the dressing room by store management and when the female shopper complained she was told that "he was representing himself as a woman today."
What do you think of this?
