Good morning...
I had a wonderful day today. When you have reached a given age you must take a written test to renew your license. I had worked on it, but still I was terrified that I might not pass. It is possible to try another time, but that felt like it would be a disaster to me. Well I will cut to the chase here and tell you that I did pass. I put it into God's hands and prayed. I feel that He answered my prayer. What a great God!
Have a tremendously successful Tuesday!

Here is a summary about the devotional in Tuesday Writing in WFM. The title is "Pray About All Things," and it is written by Diane Sutton. As you can tell from the title Diane believes that no matter how trivial a thing that is on one's mind, it can be worth praying about. In her case she prayed about two socks that were lost, making the other two orphans so to speak. She prayed and the socks reappeared. It is a good example of how God cares for any of our needs, Diane wrote. "Too many times we feel foolish asking the Lord for what we consider trivial or unimportant matters. God wants us to talk with Him about everything happening in our life, no matter how insignificant it seems to us."

"Pray About All Things "
written by
Diane Sutton
After several days, I had hoped to find the mates for two
mismatched socks sitting on the top of the dryer as a reminder that I still had
not located their missing mates. I was ready to throw them away when I
remembered,
“If you believe you will receive
whatever you ask for in prayer.”
(Matthew 21:22)
(Matthew 21:22)
Feeling a little foolish, I asked the Lord if He could find
my missing socks. I don’t know why I asked for this very small and trivial thing
– maybe I was testing God.
The next day I walked into the living room and there, lying
in the middle of the room was one of the missing socks! I jumped for joy and thanked the Lord for answering
my prayer. Humbly, I told the Lord I was
thankful that He found the one sock, but I reminded Him that there was still
another one missing. The next morning as
I entered the living room I spotted the other missing sock lying in the living
room in exactly the same spot as the other one I found.
Too many times we feel foolish asking the Lord for what we
consider trivial or unimportant matters. God wants us to talk with Him about
everything happening in our life, no matter how insignificant it seems to us.
He is interested in all the details, even our lost socks.
Matthew 10:29-31 (NIV) states, "Are
not two sparrows
sold for a penny?
Yet not one of them will fall to the ground
outside your Father’s care.
And even
the very hairs
of your head are all numbered.
So
don’t be afraid; you are worth
more than many sparrows.”
Do you give Him all your concerns and problems, even the
smallest ones? Do you talk to Him every day about everything?
Lord, thank you
for listening to our requests, even the seemingly trivial ones. Help us to
approach you with confidence in all matters. Let us know that you are taking
care of every detail of our life. Your love for us knows no boundaries! In your precious name, amen.

Casting My Care
Lord, I continually set before you,
My requests and all my needs
With thanksgiving I come unto you,
My concerns unburdened to thee
My requests and all my needs
With thanksgiving I come unto you,
My concerns unburdened to thee
I wait for your intervention, Lord,
In quietness of soul and mind
And worship at your footstool,
Leaving my cares behind
In quietness of soul and mind
And worship at your footstool,
Leaving my cares behind
And Lord, I express my thanks for you,
For all you are to me,
I thank you, Lord, that I matter to you,
Though at times, I cannot see
For all you are to me,
I thank you, Lord, that I matter to you,
Though at times, I cannot see
Because of the circumstances in life,
The things that I go through,
I find my eyes are on the storm,
When they should be looking to you
The things that I go through,
I find my eyes are on the storm,
When they should be looking to you
So help me, Lord, each precious day,
No matter what life brings me,
To carry on with hope and faith
And to rest in you with peace.
No matter what life brings me,
To carry on with hope and faith
And to rest in you with peace.

This is so true. Nothing can beat getting together with someone who gets and whom you get.
Such conversations are only limited by time and other life responsibilities. The conversations remain a part of you long after you leave your friend.
Such people are a God-given gift to us.
