We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Thursday Writings.....5/26/16

Good morning...
Today it seemed that all I could do is work related. Of course I spent my quiet time before that work started. Then I went to the grocery store and the shopping took an hour. For a couple of weeks my office has become a storage room, so today was the day that I wanted to work on my office. I started with the desk drawers and got rid of things that I no longer needed. Then I continued on to some drawers in a cart that sits under the corner of the desk. It was very daunting, however I did find a hard copy of a poem that I thought I had lost in one of my several computer messes. I was so happy to have it, and that was what made the whole day worth it. Small pleasures that bring joy. I thanked God profusely for being able to find it. Yay, God! Hope you all have a great day where something lost will be found.

Have a thoughtful Thursday filled with thanks!

God bless from
Corinne

The devotional component of Thursday Writings in Women's Focus is a cooperative writing by Brother Thomas Ukwute and Jody Ward. The title of the devotional is "Working Behind the Scene." They write, "...why are afraid, worried, frustrated or discouraged? There is no need for these things. Your God is working behind the scene for you, and He will bring it       (what you need) to pass soon."

For Zion’s sake, I cannot keep silent until her righteousness shines like the sun. Because I love her, and my heart yearns for Jerusalem, I will not cease to pray for her until her vindication radiates brightness.

I will not stop crying out to God on the Holy City’s behalf, and I cannot rest until her salvation burns like a blazing torch in the night and her deliverance rises like the dawn. I will not be silent until she is safe and secure.

Isaiah 62.1

Many times, in our journey of faith, we feel so lonely. It feels as if God is not near us or around us. Sometimes, we get so discouraged that some of the things we expected are not coming through. Other times, we get frustrated that we took ten steps forward and then slid four steps back. Then, while mourning for the four lost steps, we forget we are six steps ahead of where we used to be.

When we see, or hear, that someone slipped and fell, do not put them down or make fun of them. Keep in mind, underneath each person is the hand of the master crafter who will remove all the rough edges and bring them up in perfection. This is because of who He is and what He can accomplish, even in dark hours and tough times.

The Lord is not afraid to let us go through hills and valleys, for it is in those situations that He will make Himself known as we experience His presence, power and love. The enemy may fight, the road may be lonely and rough, the night may be dark but one thing is for certain. He will not rest until He brings to pass His purposes for your life.

So why are afraid, worried, frustrated or discouraged? There is no need for these things. Your God is working behind the scene for you, and He will bring it to pass soon.

And then one day. It happened.
The thing she had always dreamed about.
Very slowly, she began to bloom. In the most beautiful way.

And she marveled. Because she knew.
That everything. On the inside of her. Had been changed.

   Quotes of Famous Christians
   Past and Present

C S Lewis
I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen.

Not only because I see it, but because I see everything by it.

Stuart Briscoe
The spirit of Christmas needs to be superseded by the Spirit of Christ.

The spirit of Christmas is annual; the Spirit of Christ is eternal.
The spirit of Christmas is sentimental; the Spirit of Christ is supernatural.
The spirit of Christmas is a human product; the Spirit of Christ is a divine person.
That makes all the difference in the world.

If it weren't for the optimist,

the pessimist would never know how happy he wasn't.

Samuel Adams
What the world requires of the Christians

is that they should continue to be Christians.

God is Always There

A Christian Poem relating to God being There

God is Always There barGod is Always There buttonGod is Always There Poem bar

We often feel as though
God is far away
And we often feel that He
Is distant when we pray
So often we feel lonely,
Not knowing where to turn
Just a touch from God above,
Our longing spirits yearn
So many times in our lives,
God seems slow to act
We cry out in desperation,
But it's faith we often lack
For God is not being slow
In coming to our aid
He comes through in His time,
We just need to learn to wait
The Lord is never distant,
He is there by our side
And continues to walk with us
Through the storms in our lives
He always hears our hearts cry
And answers all our prayers,
He won't leave us all alone,
For God is always there.
