Good morning...
Today we went car shopping for our grandson. We were successful and felt very good about it. He has been a good person, and I call him the gentle giant (6' 2") We had a good time. It was a good day!
Have a thanks filled Thursday!

The devotional in the Thursday Writings of Women's Focus Ministries is titled, "His Everlasting Love." It is a collaboration of Brother Thomas Ukwute and Jody Ward. They have written about how God loves us and sustains us. Even when God is angry, his anger lasts only for a fleeting moment. Here is a quote at the end of the writing that sums it all up. "Remember, that no matter how the earth quakes underneath your feet, or how your life feels like shifting sand, His everlasting arm is what is holding you in place and you will never be moved."

You
cannot enjoy the fruit of a kernel until you crack the shell. You cannot use
the grain without removing the chaff. The kernel must suffer momentarily in
order to be enjoyed. The grain must undergo trauma in order to be used.

For His anger is only momentary, lasting only a little while.
His wrath is fleeting and brief, like a second of time in our lives. But His
love and kindness lasts our whole lifetime, and, in His favor, there is life. We
are sustained in His goodness and across the span of our lives, there is only
love
Our tears may flow in the darkness and go on all night.
Sorrow and weeping may stay overnight, and we may have to endure it. But our
joy returns with the morning. With the dawn, comes a shout of joy, and we will
celebrate with the bright light of day. The nights of crying have given way to
days of laughter.

Psalm 30.5-6
Life’s challenges are the key to discovering
the treasures our Heavenly Father has hidden in our lives. Don’t run away from
them. Instead, wait on Him to guide you through.
You
cannot enjoy the fruit of a kernel until you crack the shell. You cannot use
the grain without removing the chaff. The kernel must suffer momentarily in
order to be enjoyed. The grain must undergo trauma in order to be used.
Face uncertain situations with courage and
endure through painful times with faith in the unfailing power of the Almighty
God. By doing this, you will be a testimony, not just to those close to you,
but even to the nations of the world!
Remember, that no matter how the earth quakes underneath your feet, or how your life feels like shifting sand, His everlasting arm is what is holding you in place, and you will never be moved.
moved.
With a mighty hand and outstretched arm;
His love endures forever.Psalms 136.12

80 MUSLIM REFUGEES CONVERT TO CHRISTIANITY AND ARE BAPTIZED
Iranian Christian News Agency Staff : May 18, 2016 : Mohabat News
"I've been looking all my life for peace and happiness, but in Islam, I have not found it. To be a Christian means happiness to me."
Mohabat News _ Albert Babajan, the pastor who conducted the mass baptism, said that the converts were dissatisfied with Islam and were looking for something more. “The motive for the change of faith is the same for many: they are disappointed with Islam.”
Shima, one Christian convert who was recently baptized, shared about her conversion:
“I’ve been looking all my life for peace and happiness, but in Islam, I have not found it,” she said. “To be a Christian means happiness to me.”
Another convert, Somaz, said: “In Islam, we always lived in fear. Fear God, fear of sin, fear of punishment. However, Christ is a God of love.”
Babajan conducted the baptism ceremony in Hamburg city park.
Many refugees have converted to Christianity since coming to Germany. Babajan says he is aware that some refugees will convert not out of true conviction, but because Christian converts are generally given added protection since they would face death should they return to their home countries.
In order to determine who the true converts are, Babajan says he asks them how Christ has changed their lives.
“Because the Christian faith changed the way of thinking, the world view. If someone told me that at night he can sleep again or an old enemy could forgive, then I know that in his heart he is a Christian.”
“There are maybe 20 or 30 per cent who really want to hear the gospel. For those who want to have a license, I must face the door… It is very easy, whoever does not believe will not be baptised,” he added./christian headlines

God's eternal blessings
Flows down from above
To equip us in His mission
To spread His wondrous love
Flows down from above
To equip us in His mission
To spread His wondrous love
So He can always use us
And stretch us in our faith,
So we may be a blessing
To others by His grace
And stretch us in our faith,
So we may be a blessing
To others by His grace
For everything we need,
God will graciously provide
Through His eternal blessings
That's abundant in our lives.
God will graciously provide
Through His eternal blessings
That's abundant in our lives.
