Wednesday Writings......4/13/16

Good Morning...

This morning my husband told me that it was our turn to host the Bridge group today. I had lost track of it. There were many areas that needed our attention and we both worked about two hours to ready this domicile. We were done by noon and ready for what I call the group that comes to play Geezer Bridge. LOL

The devotional for Wednesday is called, "Let the Word Transform Your life!" Sandy Billingham has written on the subject of how God transforms us through His word and the
understanding of Him that we receive when we bury ourselves in Scripture.

"Let The Word Transform Your Life! "

God is not out to condemn us and tell us everything that is wrong with our life. On the contrary; but His Word radically changes us! As we study and meditate and allow God's Word to penetrate us, we WILL be different! We will be become more and more like Him!

I am so thankful that God is not in the business of constantly pointing His finger at us at every big and little thing we do wrong. Rather He reveals His heart to us in His Word, and, through the Holy Spirit, illuminates truth in a most profound way!

As we look at the word, it says...

"And do not be conformed to this world, 

but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

 that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of  God." 

Romans 12:2

We are not to conform to the patterns and the lusts of this world, but with hearts wide open to His Word, let His Word do a complete make-over in our life.

As we continuously draw close to God and feed upon His Word, in turn He will draw close to us and change our life in exciting and vibrant ways! That is the kind of God we have who desires the very best for His Children. I am digging deeper into His Word and want to be all He has called me to be!!

MOMENTS OF DECISION 

What is the most important decision that you have ever made in your life that has affected your destiny? Things come to mind such as choosing  a college, taking on a certain career, picking a wife or husband, the list of possibilities goes on and on, These are choices on a human level and they are very important. On a spiritual level one choice has shaped your destiny in life and eternity. That is the moment of decision when you chose to ask Jesus to be your personal Lord and Savior. Do you rember the date of your spiritual birthday? I do! It was January 29th,1996. That is my formal date. However, I knew when I was three that Jesus died on the cross so that I would be able to go to heaven...because my mother taught me that.
