Good Morning...
Today was a day of cloudiness to some sunshine. We have learned in California that we must not grumble when it rains. Being in a four year drought has been really painful. Although we are not up to par for our rain amount, tonight the news were giving the good news that the Yosemite waterfalls will be spectacular this year. Praise God!
The devotional for Tuesday is called, "Don't Forget the Sparrow," It speaks about the fact that life is a series of gains and losses as we age from stage to stage. Still God has a plan and will not let us languish;
Have a Terrific Tuesday!

"Don't Forget The Sparrows"

Sometimes you just need to forget what is gone.
Appreciate what still remains,
and look forward to what's coming next.
I first saw this verse on a graphic created by TobyMac in his ministry called Speak Life. I loved it at first read. I had noticed that older people, if they are to remain any bit happy they will not pine over what they have lost. They move on to what they still have and make it a joy to themselves. In the case of the elderly, when they look forward to what is next, it is most probably will be eternity.
While this is true for the elderly, it is also true for people of all ages. As we go through things,.. some thing are lost and are gone. In the case of younger people, as in the case of seniors, things are lost, but much still remains that can be appreciated and looked forward to with hope.
As we live our lives it is not evident what glories are awaiting us as life advances. What we can count on is that God is watching us. His eye is on the sparrow, and we can count on it that He is watching us.
So with confidence at what ever stage of life we are in, we can be confident that something is coming next to which we can look forward. Trust it, and do not loose heart.
For even darkness cannot hide from God; to you the
night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are both alike to you. You made all the delicate, inner parts of my bodyand knit them together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous
—and how well I know it. You were there while
I was being formed in utter seclusion! You saw me before I was born and scheduled
each day of my life before I began to breathe.
Every day was recorded in your book!

Every day was recorded in your book!
How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are
thinking about me constantly! I can’t even count
how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me.
And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me!

And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me!

Where is God in the Tradegy of this World?
From a catholic high school (Archdiocese of Hartford)... in response to a senator's remark about where is God in all the tragedy in the world....
It is well worth watching!
