Tuesday Writing...6/9/20..."Pointing Others To Jesus"

Good Morning,

Today we see the importance of being one of the people who point to Jesus just as was done by John the Baptist. Everyone  can participate in this by how we act to help others or to teach them. We show who God is and His provisions that we bring to people to whom we serve in the name of God. Sandy wrote, "We too, all have an extremely vital part in leading people to the true Savior of the world. Let us prepare our hearts and position ourselves to go forth, with fervent prayer, pointing this hurting world to the soon and coming King, Jesus Christ."

Let us be serving and waiting to welcome God into our live

Today's Devotional "Pointing Others To Jesus"
Written by Sandy Billingham

A major purpose of God's people is to point them to Jesus. That could come in a multitude of ways. Some examples may be expressing kindness to those who are hurting or need a friend. Another way is loving those that are difficult to love. Visiting the sick in the hospital or even those in nursing homes is a great way to reach out and point them to Jesus.
We are called to walk in the character traits of our Lord. As we do that with sincere hearts, asking God to fill us with His Spirit, the outcome will inevitably bear much fruit.
Scripture tells us John bore witness of Him and cried out saying,
"This was He of whom I said, He who comes after me is preferred before me, f or He was before me." John 1:15
And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

Knowing fully well there was someone so much greater than he, John points us to the eternal Son of God.  John was neither the Savior nor the Messiah, but he played a major role in turning people's hearts to Jesus Christ our Lord.  He is our Lord who is full of grace and truth. John fulfilled the destiny he was given in his timeline. He walked humbly on this earth and prepared the way for our Mighty King!
We too, have a huge responsibility in showing people who Jesus is. As we walk out our life, just as John the Baptist did, we can extend our arms in the direction of Jesus. We can allow God's love to be poured out to those that God sets before us and gently point them to our loving God.

John the Baptist was humble, yet bold and determined to complete the assignment that he was given. He knew he had a very vital part in revealing the Messiah to a world that desperately needed Him, and nothing stopped John the Baptist from doing so.

We too, all have an extremely vital part in leading people to the true Savior of the world. Let us prepare our hearts and position ourselves to go forth, with fervent prayer, pointing this hurting world to the soon and coming King, Jesus Christ.
