Thursday Writing by Bro Thomas Ukwute & Jody Ware.....5/25/17

 Good Morning,

Today's Writing is by Brother Thomas and Jody Ward, and is titled "God's Supernatural Victories." Whenever we are in trouble God is at work for us making supernatural victories in our behalf. Here is a quote from the writing: "Hang on and hope on. Hang on, for it is then that you will learn how God can turn man’s extreme situations into a divine opportunity to showcase His power. Hope on for dear life, for it is then that God will bring a supernatural victory to your earthly circumstance."
This is good to remember when we are in times of challenge and trials.

God bless,
Brother Thomas, Jody, and Corinne

Today's Writing
"God's Supernatural Victories"
It happened that four lepers were sitting just outside the city gate.
One of them said, “Look at us. What are we doing sitting here at death’s door? If we enter the famine-struck city we’ll die; if we stay here we’ll die. All our options are bad.”
Another agreed. “Yes, you are right. If we decide to go into the city where there is a famine, we will die just the same as if we stay here.
Yet another said, “I have an idea. Let’s take our chances with the army of the Syrians and throw ourselves on their mercy. I know they are our enemy but if they receive us we’ll live, if they kill us we’ll die a quick death.
The four lepers agreed. “We’re desperate and we’ve got nothing to lose.”
They decided to go to the Syrian camp at twilight, just before nightfall, so they set out on their way. When they got close to the camp, there was no one in sight. The horses were there. The donkeys and other animals were there. The tents and the camp were completely intact but no man was in the camp.
It turned out that the Lord had fooled the Aramean army, making them hear sounds of chariots and horses and the monstrous noise of a great army coming toward them. They had said to one another, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to come upon us. So they got up and ran, deserting the camp and leaving everything behind just as it was.
They just fled for their lives. God caused them to abandon everything and run away. They were so panicked, they didn’t even take food with them.
The four lepers entered the camp and went into a tent. First they ate and drank. Then they grabbed silver, gold, and clothing, and went off and hid it. They came back, entered another tent, and looted it, again hiding their plunder.
2 Kings 7.3-7
When you are sick and there is no answer. When you are isolated and alone. When you are starving and there is no food. When there is no one you can go to for help. When you are at the end of hope. When desperation drives you. When all seems lost. When you have nothing left to lose.
That is when you must know in your heart that God is working in ways you cannot see, setting miracles in motion behind the scenes. That is when you must cling, clutch tightly to Him, knowing He is preparing rescue and victory beyond what you can imagine.

Hang on and hope on. Hang on, for it is then that you will learn how God can turn man’s extreme situations into a divine opportunity to showcase His power. Hope on for dear life, for it is then that God will bring a supernatural victory to your earthly circumstance. You will see the glory of God in your life, for it is then that God will shine brightest in the dark.
