Tuesday Writing by Sandy Billingham......5/9/17

Good Morning,

Today's theme is built on the idea of metamorphosis and transformation. Sandy Billingham saw a caterpillar and let thoughts about it lead her to write about God's transformation work in her writing called, "He Is Doing  A  New Thing." As Sandy considered the caterpillar's change in four stages from an egg to a butterfly. This is a beautiful miracle of nature. God works with His people in the same way. She wrote, "We are confident of the "New Things" that Jesus is springing forth in our lives, and, because of His Transformation power, we will all be changed forever with His beauty and goodness  shining among us!!"

We should look for the new things that God is doing even now.

Today's Devotional
"He Is Doing  A  New Thing"

My friend Lora and I walk quite frequently together weekly.  As we walk, we pray. We walk about six miles and time goes incredibly quickly as we pray. The last time we walked together we came across a very woolly caterpillar. He scurried across that sidewalk with ease, as we  watched  with joy! 

Both Lora and I thought it was very prophetic for both of us and our families, because we know  the Lord is doing new things! He has promised  us that  through  His Word. The Word that  came to us was metamorphosis, which means transformation or change.

That caterpillar was very soon to go through a very dramatic change. In the very near  future he would be a very beautiful butterfly through a major process  that  our God has designed.

Lora  and I are very  aware  that our families are about to go  through  some  beautiful changes as well. The Lord has revealed to us  that He  is doing new things  in us and  our families, just as He is  about do in that  caterpillar.

God's Word  says...  

 "Remember not the former  things, 

nor consider the things of  old. 

Behold, I am doing a new thing, 

now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?  

I will make a way  in the wilderness  

and rivers in the desert."

Isaiah 43:18-19

A beautiful butterfly is springing forth from that caterpillar and the former things are soon to be in the past. Lora and I stand together as  well for our families knowing  that the former things will soon be a thing of the past as God births His newness! 

We are confident of the "New Things" that Jesus is springing forth in our lives, and, because of His Transformation power, we will all be changed forever with His beauty and goodness  shining among us!!
