Tuesday Writing by Sandy Billingham......5/2/17

Good morning,

Today the writing is named,  "Follow In His Footsteps." It was written by Sandy Billingham when she was inspired by mother and daughter look alikes. She realized that people who greatly resemble each other not do so because of physical appearance but also ir happens due to the closeness of their relationship. Sandy wrote, "I was just thinking that the more we spend time with Jesus, the more we  will begin to take on His mannerisms. As we meditate on His Word, and sit at His feet, we will become more and more like our Lord each passing day. We  will walk in His joy and respond to people the way He  does. We will carry ourselves with great humility and courage, and above all we will walk in His Love."

Let us continue to watch Jesus and emulate His ways and actions as we become more like Him every day.

God bless,
Sandy and Corinne

Today's devotional "Follow In His Footsteps"

This past weekend we spent  some time with our youngest son, Jacob. He has  a sweet girlfriend named Wynter that he has dated around two and one half years. My husband and I  had the opportunity to also meet Wynter's Mother while visiting, which we  enjoyed very much. After meeting her Mother, we  could  see vast  resemblance of the two of them. They both had very much the same  mannerisms. The  way they laughed and responded to people, and how they carried them selves was extremely similar.

I was just thinking that the more we spend time with Jesus, the more we  will begin to take on His mannerisms. As we meditate on His Word, and sit at His feet, we will become more and more like our Lord each passing day. We  will walk in His joy and respond to people the way He  does. We will carry ourselves with great humility and courage, and above all we will walk in His Love.
His Word tells us:
"For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for us,
leaving us an example,
that ye should follow in His steps.
"1 Peter 2:21

As we follow hard after Christ  with everything that is in us, we will naturally follow in His steps. That is what Christ has called us to do. He  has always been our ultimate example on how we should live out our life.
It was obvious that Wynter was following in her mother's steps. That stood out quite clearly. How much more should we as God's people shine bright as the stars and be an amazing example in following in Christ's steps all of our days.
