Good Morning,
Carol Steficek is the author of today's writing. She is considering the issue of rejection how it feels and what to do. Carol pointed out that even Jesus dealt with rejection but continued to love and forgive. She titled her writing, "REJECTION." Carol points out what can be gained by how we deal with rejection of ourselves and us when we have done to others. She wrote, "Nothing anyone can do against us can compare with what Jesus has forgiven us for. First come to Jesus and let Him cleanse you. Then you'll have the power to go out and do likewise for all of your neighbors."
Have a good weekend.
God bless,
Carol and Corinne

Today's Devotional
"REJECTION"
"Jesus knew that
the Father had put all things under his power,
and that he had come from God
and was returning to God;
so he got up from the meal, took off his outer
clothing,
and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured
water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet,
dry them with the
towel that was wrapped around him."
John 13:3-5
All of us have experienced rejection in this life and it hurts. Many
times all we want to do is get even. However, look at the example Jesus
has given us.
All of Jesus' disciples betrayed or rejected or disappointed Him in some way. We do the same thing to God every day of our lives -- broken promises, committing sins we don't even know about (plus the ones we do), not always standing up for our Christian principles, ignoring our neighbor's needs, not loving as we should.
What does Jesus do? He washes our feet. We come to Him and he
removes all the sin from our lives and washes us clean with His blood. He
never rejects us, no matter what we've done.
What should we do? We should do the same for all others. Nothing anyone can do against us can compare with what Jesus has forgiven us for. First come to Jesus and let Him cleanse you. Then you'll have the power to go out and do likewise for all of your neighbors.
