Good Morning,
Sandy Billingham is the author of today's writing which is tiled, "The Dead Shall Come Alive." Her theme was brought to mind when she heard the song named, "Come Alive (Dry Bones)". In this song the words are "dry bones come alive." and Sandy applied it not only to the dead but also to the issues of people who have died to what had been good in their lives.
Sandy wrote,
"As you seek God's heart, ask Him what dry bones and dead hearts He wants you to call forth to come alive. As you do so in Great Faith, Expect and Watch the Father work. As the answers come forth, let the Celebration begin!!"
After you read this, please think about what dry bones you are hanging onto and what you need to jettison from your life.
God bless
Sandy and Corinne

"The Dead Shall Come Alive"
As I was listening to the song "Come Alive" on the radio recently, the words of the song began to minister to me. I believe it was the Holy Spirit speaking to me and illuminating God's life changing power and truth as we pray. The song is referring to the prodigals that have gone astray. As it continues on it specifically shares how we can address and speak to the wayward sons and daughters.
As I continued to ponder and meditate on the words of the song, my spirit got more and more excited. I sensed it was a real key on seeing the captives set free!
I also realized it is not just the prodigal sons and daughters we can direct the prayers to but so much more. Wherever there is no longer life in the arena of our world we can speak to those things to come alive!
It may be a relationship with a family member or friend that has gone sour that needs to be addressed. Or it could be your marriage or your job, finances or your relationship with Christ? Maybe you have lost your zealousness to minister for Jesus. The list goes on and on.
The chorus of the song is as follows: "As we call out to dry bones come alive, come alive, We call out to dead hearts come alive, up out of the ashes - let us see an army rise. We call out to dry bones come alive."
We as God's people have the authority to call out to those things that are dead and ask God to breathe life on them. We can call those things that are not as though they are according to His Word and according to His will.
Luke 15:24 is talking specifically about the prodigal son.
"For this son of mine was dead and has come to life again;
he was lost and has been found.
And they began to celebrate."
The prodigal son was truly dead in His sins but he came to his senses and realized what he was missing. He turned from darkness and death and embraced life!
As you seek God's heart, ask Him what dry bones and dead hearts He wants you to call forth to come alive. As you do so in Great Faith, Expect and Watch the Father work. As the answers come forth, let the Celebration begin!!
Calling Forth the Dead to Come Alive,
Sandy Billingham
