Good morning,
Today's writing is titled, "Who Am I / Who Are You" and it was written by Corinne Mustafa. The theme is that we are not always what our underbelly thinks we are that speaks loud in our ears. We are not defined by the world or our friends and neighbors think we are. The only One who is knowledgeable enough to define us is the One whose habit is to always forgive us of our shortcomings when we repent. We need to rely on His diagnosis of whom He sees and stop being so critical of our own humanity . I wrote,
"I see myself in the mirror. I know what I have become...wrinkled neck and even face. However, others have a different opinion of my identity...whether it be what I actually see or what they see. The truth is somewhere in the middle."
Tomorrow please try to look at yourself with more loving eyes.
God bless
Corinne

Today's Devotional
"Who Am I / Who Are You"
"Who Am I / Who Are You"
Sometimes we are our own worst enemy when we take it upon ourselves to be judgmental about who and how we are. Who am I? The baby of my mommy and daddy...the friend at school...the smart girl who never feels she is enough...the college student who did not like to study...the new bride...the new mommy of three...the empty nester...the lady who is getting quite old.
The daughter of a king, the woman getting closer to eternity, the person who has been chosen by God for eternal salvation.
And, do you know what? Your story has different details, but we are very much alike

This picture of me lived on a shelf in our house throughout my childhood. I called it "Pinafore Girl." This picture came to the fore on Facebook. and so I published it. I got lots of comments. Here are a couple of them...
"You haven't changed a bit."
"Beautiful then, beautiful now,"
"Beautiful then, beautiful now,"
I read these comments, and I asked myself, "Who me???" I see myself in the mirror. I know what I have become...wrinkled neck and even face. However, others have a different opinion of my identity...whether it be what I actually see or what they see. The truth is somewhere in the middle.
Here is a song that will give you some ideas on how to build your identity as you know it and as God sees it.
