Good morning,
The theme and title of today's writing is "REJECTION." Carol shows the ultimate model of what a rejected person should do by describing how Jesus handled the rejection that He faced on earth. He did not argue, show hatred, or try to get revenge when He faced abuse. He loved his abusers. Carol wrote, "What does Jesus do? He washes our feet. We come to Him and he removes all the sin from our lives and washes us clean with His blood. He never rejects us, no matter what we've done."
Think about it. Whenever you have resorted to open or even thoughts of the mind to deal with the hurt of rejection, one of the results is that your feelings of well being are tinged with guilt.

Have a weekend that is filled with good will.
God bless

Today's Devotional
"REJECTION"
"Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power,
and that he had come from God
and was returning to God;
so he got up from the meal, took off his outer
clothing,
and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured
water
into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet,
dry them with the
towel that was wrapped around him."
John 13:3-5
All of us have experienced rejection in this life and it hurts. Many times all we want to do is get even. However, look at the example Jesus has given us.
All of Jesus' disciples betrayed or rejected or disappointed Him in some
way. We do the same thing to God every day of our lives -- broken
promises, committing sins we don't even know about (plus the ones we do), not
always standing up for our Christian principles, ignoring our neighbor's needs,
not loving as we should.
What does Jesus do? He washes our feet. We come to Him and he
removes all the sin from our lives and washes us clean with His blood. He
never rejects us, no matter what we've done.
What should we do? We should do the same for all others. Nothing anyone can do against us can compare with what Jesus has forgiven us for. First come to Jesus and let Him cleanse you. Then you'll have the power to go out and do likewise for all of your neighbors.
