Today's devotional is written by Sandy Billingham, The title is "You Are Royal A Priesthood." She pointed this out to a friend who had been suffering from depression inspite of the fact that she was a woman committed to Jesus. Sandy wrote, "I prayed for her, and over her, how God sees her and all that He has blessed her with and all that He says she is. I know it encouraged her and edified her and was a strong reminder that we are over comers in this life whatever we may face. I could see a change in her countenance and that she was able to put her shoulders back a little more and walk with a little more confidence than before."
Have a pleasant Wednesday.
God bless,

"You Are Royal Priesthood!"
The most disheartening thing was that she loved Jesus and was living for Him but yet her whole focus was defeat! I have been there and it is not a fun place to be. I too, at times get my eyes off of Jesus and allow everything negative around me to pull me down.
The good news was that I was able to remind her who she was in Christ Jesus. She most definitely is not a victim of her circumstances and situations but is a Daughter of the Most High God! I preceded to continue to let her know much more about her Identity in Christ.
A wonderful scriptures that explains well who we are is found in the word which says...
"But you are a chosen generation,
a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
His own special people, that you may proclaim
the praises of Him who called you
out of darkness into His marvelous light."
a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
His own special people, that you may proclaim
the praises of Him who called you
out of darkness into His marvelous light."
1 Peter 2:9
I prayed for her, and over her, how God sees her and all that He has blessed her with and all that He says she is. I know it encouraged her and edified her and was a strong reminder that we are over comers in this life whatever we may face
.
.
I could see a change in her countenance and that she was able to put her shoulders back a little more and walk with a little more confidence than before.
Once we truly, truly get who we are and who we belong to, we can walk every day with much Confidence and Courage in our heart.
Just knowing we are chosen by God and we are a Royal Priesthood is enough to get through our days on this earth in great Victory!
I encourage each of us next time hopelessness and defeat come knocking at our door to remember He has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light and that we are wrapped in His cloak of acceptance. As we meditate on our Identity in Him, everything that is not of Him has to fall to the wayside!! We will cling to Jesus tightly looking into His glorious face knowing we are forever His!!!!
