Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Thursday Writings.......6/30/16

Good morning...

Today I went to the gym to take the Water Exercise Class for people with Arthritis. It was great. The beauty of the water classes is that you get exercise with less pressure on the body. I have to say though that, when I got out of the water, I was quite tired. I plan to keep on going to this class three times a week.

Hope your Thursday is a good one.

God bless from
Corinne

The Devotional component in the Thursday Writings of Women's Focus Ministries is titled, "BEARING THE SCARS" and was co written by Brother Thomas Ukwute and Jody Wart. The topic is the scars that people have when they are serving Jesus.

Brother Thomas
 wrote, "
I have the whip marks, the very brand-marks that show I belong to Christ."

Jody wrote, "
God bless you as you showcase His glory in difficult moments. This is the evidence, the markings of Christ, which are seen by the world."

  Today's Devotional

"BEARING THE SCARS"
Co-written by
Brother Thomas Ukwute
                         and Jody Ward

From now on, don’t let anyone make trouble for me with these things. I don’t want anyone to bother me with these disputes, or argue with me, making it necessary for me to justify and vindicate my authority. I have far more important things to do – the serious living of the faith.

I bear the scars from my service to Jesus. I have the whip marks, the very brand-marks that show I belong to Christ.
Brother Thomas Ukwute
Galatians 6.17

If you recognized the value of the things that confront and challenge you, that add to your spiritual growth and maturity, you would pray for one each day.

Trials, challenges, oppositions and persecutions are God's designed instruments to remove the rough edges in our lives so we can have greater effectiveness. Whenever a situation gets tough, God’s Grace rises to the occasion and leaves its mark on our lives.

I believe it makes God happy, and pleases Him, when we pass the test of obedience in challenging times. Thank God for the scars, for His grace is enough for you. When you were weak, then His strength was made perfect.

God bless you as you showcase His glory in difficult moments. This is the evidence, the markings of Christ, which are seen by the world.
Jody Ward

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.                                                        1 Thessalonians 5:15-18

do not despise the day of small beginnings, for the lord rejoices to see the work begin.. zechariah 4:10

written by Beverley A. Napier

Do not despise this small beginning, for the eyes of the Lord rejoice to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. For these seven lamps represent the eyes of the Lord that see everywhere around the world.”                                                                                                                                                    Zechariah 4:10

Alpha and omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet,
and a title of Christ or of God in the Book of Revelation.
This couple of letters are used as Christian symbols,
and are often combined with the Cross, Chi-rho,
or other Christian symbols.
