Good morning...
Today it reached into the high 90's in balmy Livermore, CA. It could be worse. In Phoenix, AZ it went above 115 today. Even with no humidity 90+ is very hot. It was always a pleasure to get into an air conditioned place. This too will pass. It is all in a day with God, and we thank Him for each new day He gives us.
Hope your Wednesday is a wonderful.
God bless from

We are all aware that in this world today there is trouble all around us. All we need to do is turn the news on and we are blasted with major trouble!! That will not escape us. What we can be sure of is that Jesus is with us and He will uphold us with His right hand.
Today's Devotional
"He Shall Hide Me"
written by
I am ever so grateful that we have a Heavenly Father that is with us every second of our life. He holds us, carries us, watches over us, hovers over us and hides us under the shadow of His wings. He is our ultimate protector day in and day out. We never leave home without Him!!!
His Word tells us...
"For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock."
Psalm 27:5
Just reading that passage comforts me greatly. I can rest assured knowing that my back is always covered all my days. I do not have to live in fear of what tomorrow may bring. I can live out my days with great expectation that my Heavenly Father will set me high upon a rock when danger is all around.
We are all aware that in this world today there is trouble all around us. All we need to do is turn the news on and we are blasted with major trouble!! That will not escape us. What we can be sure of is that Jesus is with us and He will uphold us with His right hand.
As His Word says He will hide us in His pavilion. He is truly our shelter, our covering, our Heavenly tent.
All our days we can rest in the fact that His strong arms will undergird and hold us tight! We have a good, good Daddy who takes great care of His kids!!
In His Protection,
Sandy Billingham

Humorous Innocence From the Mouths of Babes
The other day, my 3 yr old son was riding in the car with my wife and his grandmother. His grandmother was praying out loud about a few things. From the backseat he asked, “Why you say that?” She told him she had a few things on her heart. Then, she asked him if he had anything on his heart. It took a second, but he glanced down at his shirt and said, “A football.”
Kids are so literal. To him, the football on his shirt was on his heart. We have to keep that in mind when talking with preschoolers and even younger elementary kids about God and abstract ideas. How can Jesus really live in my heart? What do you mean you heard God? If we pay attention, we can find God in pretty much everything we see and do. It is so important to help our kids understand this. The key is to make sure we are explaining it in concrete terms. Remember faith is a lifestyle, not just something we do on Sundays and Wednesday nights.
When my daughter was a preschooler I told her that the dollar I handed her was for Jesus and to put it into the plate. When the plate came around she held the dollar in the air and shouted at the top of her voice, Here’s some money for you Jesus!” Everyone cracked up laughing!
My oldest son, when he was about 4, was asking about God being everywhere. During this conversation he says…” so you mean God can get in Chuck E Cheese even when it’s closed?”. So cute.

This is going to sound weird to you. In Chariots of Fire the runner Eric Liddell says, 'When I run, I feel His pleasure.' And I feel that pleasure when I act." -Hugh Jackman

(Australia)—[CBN News]
Actor, Hugh Jackman is talking about his faith as he prepares to play one of the most well-known characters from the Bible and early church....
After playing significant roles in movies like Wolverine and Les Miserables, Jackman is set to play St. Paul the Apostle in an upcoming film.
"I am a Christian," he says in an interview with Jesus Daily.
The film, Apostle Paul, is suspected to depict Paul's conversion, ministry, and imprisonment.
The movie will be produced by Jackman along with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck with screenplay currently being written by Matt Cook.
Jackman reportedly says he used to attend different evangelists' revival tents when he was younger and that acting gives him a sense of peace.
"When I was about 13, I had a weird premonition that I was going to be on-stage, like the preachers I saw."
He considers himself to be a "religious person" and that he dedicates his performances to God.
He said, "This is going to sound weird to you. In Chariots of Fire the runner Eric Liddell says, 'When I run, I feel His pleasure.' And I feel that pleasure when I act."
Just like many he says that, "there are things driving me that aren't all healthy—needing approval and respect to fill some hole in me."
"Through acting, I'm able to find a level of bliss and peace and calm and joy. And it feels natural," he says.
