Good Morning,
Today we studied the importance of kindness, gentleness and forgiveness. The most amazing example of this was the life of Jesus. We all would do well to emulate Him in our choices of acceptable behavior. Here is a quote from this writing, "One could make a list of others who have been hurtful to them and decided to forgive them as Jesus has forgiven us. In doing this we are following in the footsteps of our Leader and Mentor, Jesus Christ."
We hope that this gives readers ideas of the needed thought process and behaviors and helps them develop habits.
May God bless you richly,
Corinne Mustafa

"Kindness & Gentleness Wins"

Therefore,
as God’s
chosen people,
holy and dearly loved,
clothe yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
holy and dearly loved,
clothe yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Colossians 3:12
I am borrowing from what I heard in the church message this morning. Pastor Larry shared how even as He was being crucified Jesus was taking care of the end business left for Him. He arranged care for His mother, and He asked His Father to forgive the people who were in the process of killing Him. He showed kindness and did not lash out...not even one time. The first martyr, a man named Steven exhibited the same gentleness as he accepted being stoned to death.
This led to a discussion of being kind and gentle when considering those who may have hurt and damaged us during our lifetimes. What is necessary for us to do is to grant forgiveness to the offender. Even if the person had passed away it is possible to think about being forgiving of the guilty person and letting it go.
Jesus was willing to forgive His people, and He wants us to be prepared to forgive others in turn. This is what Jesus said as He preached forgiveness...
This is my blood of the covenant,
which is poured out for many
for the forgiveness of sins.
Matthew
26:28
One could make a list of others who have been hurtful to them and decided to forgive them as Jesus has forgiven us. In doing this we are following in the footsteps of our Leader and Mentor, Jesus Christ.
