Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Friday Writing...6/5/20..."These Powerful Weapons"

Good Morning,

The topic of today's writing is strongholds and the powerful weapons with which we are gifted to overcome these challenges. Here is a quote from this writing, "I hope you will join me in prayer and consideration using these powerful weapons to walk a straight line through life. If  the line gets crooked from time to time just shake yourself off and get back on the straight route once again."

It could be helpful for you to make a list of the weapons you have at your disposal and keep it in your Bible.

Keep up the fight with God's blessings,
Corinne Mustafa

"The weapons
with which we fight  have power
to demolish strongholds."
2 Corinthians 10:4

All people at one time of another find themselves barricaded in a fortress in which they do not want to be trapped. The problem is that once they enter the fort the moat will be lifted and all means of escape seem to be blocked due to the weaknesses from which they are paralyzed. Strongholds are out of control. Strongholds differ from person to person. Here are some strongholds and what they cause...

I am sure you get the point, and because of some of these we have ended up in a life that is not on the path God has created for us to follow. We are not the only ones. The Bible talks of people who have made poor choices and have sinned because or them. The most well known person who is an example was King David who made many such poor choices. The point about David is that he repented and attempted to be better. In the end, David (warts and all) is known as a "man after God's heart."

We are not expected to be perfect, but we are expected to repent and attempt to change our failing in out strongholds over and over again.  The good news is that we have weapons that help us to live correctly in spite of our head locks. The main weapon is our faith which is a gift of all truth. When we operate from this platform we are given the actual good or bad of something. Paying attention to that truth will help to keep on that correct path. If we end up on a side road the truth will help us get back in line.

One important fact we need to remember is that fighting strongholds includes spiritual warfare as well. I hope you will join me in prayer and consideration using these powerful weapons to walk a straight line through life. If  the line gets crooked from time to time just shake yourself and get back on the straight route once again.
