Good morning,
I apologize that I posted the incorrect writing on May 1, so I am posting the correct writing today.
Today's writing is by Cathy Friberg who writes at the beginning of every month. It is called, "THE SOUND OF SILENCE." The theme is that we and the other dedicated Christians need to be silent so that we can hear and understand what God is saying and teaching.Cathy wrote, "Hopefully, in the near future, things will be starting to open up again in society. May all people, having been spared, for a time at least, from the noise of a busy world, turn to the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. "
Hope you enjoy this writing...It is uplifting and enlightening! (Corinne Mustafa)

"THE SOUND OF SILENCE"
Recently I listened to a lesson by author and speaker Matthew Kelly. He made a point that resonated with me. Matthew commented that, "You are driving in your car with a group of passengers and you find yourself getting lost. What is the first thing you ask them to do?
You ask them to please be quiet……because you know intuitively that clarity emerges from silence." Another point the speaker made was that in 1939 C.S. Lewis wrote a weekly fictional newspaper column about a senior devil who was coaching a junior devil on how to tempt humanity. He reminded the junior devil to stick to the original plan. That plan was to create so much noise in the world that "man would no longer be able to hear the voice of his God."
The Lord knows these principles concerning silence too. I believe God has used these concepts to quiet mankind during this "shelter in place" interval. Hopefully the world has benefited by receiving more clarity and discernment concerning life and our Creator. During this cloistered era, I myself have thought more about the concept of truth than I ever have in my life. Trying to make sense of the whole experience, I have listened to Christian prophesies and theories until I can hold no more information. I have questioned long held ideas of my own concerning truth in so many realms.
As the traditional hymn says, "through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come." How true in my own life. However, this current trial has greatly magnified, to me, the temporal nature of our earthly journey.
Never has it been so strongly embedded in my soul, that this earth is not our final home. The props have been pulled out from under us and we realize that one day we will stand before the King of the Universe by ourselves. As believers and followers of Christ we know that we will be justified before the Father only by the shed blood of His Son.
Hopefully, in the near future, things will be starting to open up again in society. May all people, having been spared, for a time at least, from the noise of a busy world, turn to the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. May all of the seeds of truth we have planted in the hearts of the lost, bear fruit. May all of the prayers we have prayed for others be answered. Finally, we ask that all of God's creation would find salvation in the one who holds the whole world in His hands.
