We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Monday Writing...3/30/20..."Resilience"

Good Morning,

Today we are looking at resilience of people in our nation's history and in present times. We have a national personality of being hardy and daring, Here is a quote from this writing, "We are members of a population in a country that always has been ready to join the fray to help others with needs and issues. We pray for them. We keep in touch with them by phone or in person. We are willing to join in any project that we have the skill for that will make things better. It is a part of our national personality."

It is a proud legacy!

Praying for health and blessings!

"Resilience"

We are members of a population in a country that always has been ready to join the fray to help others with needs and issues. We pray for them. We keep in touch with them by phone or in person. We are willing to join in any project that we have the skill for that will make things better. It is a part of our national personality.

Tonight my husband and I were watching "20/20" which we find very interesting every Sunday evening. It was no surprise that the first article covered was concerned with the raging malady of the Corona Virus. The reporter talked with various doctors and other health care workers who were risking their health and lives daily taking care of the sick and dying who are victims of the virus. These people are selflessly doing all they can to help with care and comfort for their patients. The comment of one Doctor really touched me. She said that she is always happy to go home at the end of shift to be with her family. Then she said that when she is home now she always wishes to be back at the hospital. Durability!

I am going back in history now. In the 1830's in Texas a Mexican army was moving north east to drive the non-Mexicans out of the territory. Men amassed to the Alamo and took their stand. They were outnumbered and knew they would be killed...yet none ran away and the entire group was massacred that day. That became a battle cry for the state of Texas, "Remember the Alamo!" Resistant!

As you read this I am sure you could come up with a list of people who would not give up...people who were Resilient and filled with valor. Our country...history and present...is filled with such people.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the history of resilience found in the people of our country who chose to do the right thing even if it required sacrifice, hardiness, and strength. Please help your people to follow their example and to do Your will. May this challenge to our health and lives soon come to an end. Amen
