The topic of today's writing is the need for restoration. We all need this as we go through life. In the challenges that the current pandemic brings needs the blessings of being refreshed and restored. Here is a quote from this writing, "He is right beside you. Talk to Him whenever you feel afraid, uncertain, worried, or lost. Follow common sense and know He is listening. Read your Bible. You might happen on the perfect Scripture you need that God is showing you."
It is such a blessing to think about the thought that God is near to us all the time.
Believe in His concern and love.

Today's Devotional
"RESTORE ME"

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from your presence,
and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.
Psalm 51:10–12,
This is a really beautiful Scripture. David's skill as a psalmist is illustrated magnificently in this quote from Psalm 51. It is a time specific Scripture in these days of the pandemic, as our entire lifestyles are changed now and for an unspecified time in the future. We need to embrace these changes; our lives depend on it. Remember God knows what is happening, and we have His promises that He takes care of us. One such promise is seen in His gift of the rainbow.
I just spent about 15 minutes trying to find the actual Scripture about respecting and obeying our elected officials to no avail. What I do know that there IS such a Scripture. So if we are mandated to "shelter in place," "to keep 6 feet between ourselves and others. " or whatever it is that our elected officials direct us to do we need to obey. The Bible is the breathed word of God which means any Scripture verse is the will of God.
So how do we deal with what seems to be the "new normal." We need to remember and believe that even isolated alone in our homes we are not alone. God is always with us, and the time of this crisis is no exception. God is not hiding so that He will not be infected by covid 19. A little levity!! He is right beside you. Talk to Him whenever you feel afraid, uncertain, worried, or lost. Follow common sense and know He is listening. Read your Bible. You might happen on the perfect Scripture you need that God is showing you.
Finally, I would like to suggest that you pray that the end of this pandemic happens soon.
