Today's Devotional "We Are All Called To Great Purpose"

I anticipate each day with fervency and expectation knowing God has some way that He wants to use me for His Kingdom. As we live for Him, there is never a day that is boring or useless for He has ordered each of our steps. We must carefully keep our eyes fixed on Him and He will show us His plans for each day.

I love how He has illustrated who He is and who we are as His people in His Word...

"Thus says God the Lord,
Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it,
Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it: "I, the Lord, l have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You
and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles, To open blind eyes,
To bring out prisoners from the prison,
Those who sit in darkness from the prison house. I am the Lord, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images. Behold, the former things have come to pass,
And new things I declare; Before they spring forth
I tell you of them." Isaiah 42:5-9

Every day is rich with God's hope and His promises. He has given us His breath and
His spirit. We have been called to right standing with Him. He walks closely with us,
even holding our hand. Through Him He has given us light to the lost and freedom
for those who are in captivity.

He fulfills His Word to capacity and continuously doing new things that are springing forth from His mouth. And we are privileged and honored to be in-grafted and integrated in the midst of what He is doing.

We are overflowing with His greatness because His greatness lives within us! We live with an abundance of
purpose that brings change to all those around us as we are obedient to the things He reveals to us.

I challenge each of us with the New Year that is encroaching upon us to envision in deeper ways the destiny that has been placed upon us all. Let us approach the New Year with great zealousness and eagerness to encounter our living God in new and fresh ways. May He explode out of you and bring tremendous transformation to all you meet! For truly what a mighty God we serve!!
