Friday Writing...12/6/22..."The Great Reconciliation"

Good Morning,

When God promised in the Old Testament that a Messiah would come  and when the promise was fulfilled by the birth of Jesus He was arranging things so that men would find it possible to reach reconciliation with Him. Karen wrote, "The great reconciliation is complete and will remain so for every repentant believer. Heaven with our Lord is a gift that never stops giving - a gift for all eternity. .......God will forgive every single sin we commit if we believe and repent."

Eternity is ours if we BELIEVE. And while you are at it remember that Jesus is the Reason for the season.

Blessings from,
Karen Bennett

"The Great Reconciliation"

 Written by
Karen Bennett

It’s the Advent season, the celebration of the coming of our Lord to this earth as a babe in a manger with the sole purpose of redeeming us. Yes , He bought us back from sin and the evil one with His own blood, to have us reconciled with God. It’s a celebration of great love and certainly a time to spread the good news.

The angels celebrated the birth of the Christ Child by filling the sky with their song filled presence!
“Glory to God in the highest
and on earth peace,
goodwill toward men.”
Luke 2:14.

At the birth of Christ, God’s promise of a Messiah was becoming visible. Before Christ was born, all who were saved were those who believed in God’s promise to send the Messiah.

We still have promises from God today, beautiful and filled with hope for us. One of the most wonderful we can even imagine is His promise to never leave us or forsake us!

The great reconciliation is complete and will remain so for every repentant believer. Heaven with our Lord is a gift that never stops giving - a gift for all eternity. We need never worry ourselves over losing it as long as we have faith in our hearts. God will forgive every single sin we commit if we believe and repent. As St. Paul says:
For I am convinced
that neither death nor life,

neither angels nor demons,
neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
neither height nor depth,
nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us
from the love of God
that is in Christ Jesus Our                      Lord.”
             Romans 8:38-39.

All the more reason to celebrate the birth of the Savior of the world. Through Him we are completely reunited and at peace with our Heavenly Father. Let us rejoice now and throughout eternity. Before we know it, the day will arrive when all has been fulfilled and happiness such as we have never known will be ours without end!

Gracious Father,
We celebrate Advent with joyful hearts by acknowledging the beginning of the fulfillment of Your promise of a Savior for Your children. We count on You for everything, just as with the birth of Your beloved Son, our Savior. Your word can always be counted on and because of it we know Your chosen loved ones will be with You through all eternity Help us to share this most precious news with others in the name of Jesus!

Amen.
