Monday Writing...2/17/20..."Don’t Be Estranged"

Good Morning,

The theme for today is how God forgives a person who shows that she is repentant for her misdeeds. When we repent that we are forgiven. Jesus made this possible by His death on the cross. It was the plan that God had to make us deserving for eternity. Karen wrote, "Our sins are forgiven and always will be when we come to God truly sorry for them. His love overcomes all. It overcame everything on the cross with the death of Jesus and then His glorious resurrection. God not only removes our sins from us, He forgets them, tossing them into the sea of forgetfulness."

We are beyond blessed.

Have a sweet weekend.

"Don’t Be Estranged"
Written by
Karen Bennett

Have you ever felt the extreme weight of guilt  over something you did that you should not have done? Or maybe you didn’t do something you should have done.Things like that sometimes make us run from God instead of to Him as we should. Our guilt and shame override our common sense.

Jesus is where we should be without a moment’s delay. A delay can promote things that become dangerous for us. We should never allow anything to keep us from God. Our hearts can harden. and the time away from Him can become quite lengthy, even permanent in some cases.

It can be an open invitation to Satan. We cannot take such a risk, and we can’t let anything we do or don’t do separate us from the love of God. He doesn’t allow anything to do it, and we certainly shouldn’t. Forgiveness is promised to us. Why on earth would we wait to go to God for it, knowing all the different risks involved?

“If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just,
and will forgive us our sins
and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9.

We have no right not to forgive ourselves when our Almighty God will forgive our repentant hearts the moment we ask Him to. God doesn’t hold grudges. And, not only does He forgive our sins, He removes them from us!

“as far as the east is from the west,
so far has He removed
our transgressions from us.”
Psalm 103:12.

We hopefully learn a lesson from this type of situation —- NEVER hold a grudge against ourselves. Sin will be with us as long as we reside on earth, but God gave His only Son for our salvation. Our belief in Him through the Holy Spirit saves us. Abide in Him!

He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins,
and not only for ours but also
for the sins of the whole world.”
1 John 2:2.

Our sins are forgiven and always will be when we come to God truly sorry for them. His love overcomes all. It overcame everything on the cross with the death of Jesus and then His glorious resurrection. God not only removes our sins from us, He forgets them, tossing them into the sea of forgetfulness. How more blessed can we be?

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your sacrifice assuring believers of Your forgiveness. Help us to accept it immediately upon our confession and live in the great joy, hope, and relief Your forgiveness brings to us. In Your precious name we pray. Amen.
