Good Morning,
The topic for today's writing is the sweetness of God as displayed in the Bible and in His offered love to us by what He tells us and what we learn from Him. Kelly wrote, "My focus needs to be to intentionally search for that sweetness that has been provided and to hold tightly onto this to get through the next hurdle of life. So gather your sweetness in whichever form it comes and live through to the next batch so that before you know it you will have a garden full of sweetness."

Today's Devotional
"Hang Onto the Sweetness"

Life on earth is very troubling, filled with disappointments, despair, hurts, regrets, meanness, just to mention a few. I am quite sensitive when these disruptions happen, and it always takes me a few days to get past them. I have said over the years that I wish I didn’t have feelings. I have also seen my sons hurting through life challenges. I have stated that I wish I would have raised jerks so they would grow into jerk men.
Of course I don’t really want them to be like that, but it just is so difficult to hurt and even more than that, watch the ones you love more than anything else on this earth to hurt.
What I am learning and working on putting into practice is to locate and keep the sweetness that is provided and given so freely by God. As hard as it is for me to see it, or even want to see it when I am so hurt and disappointed by another human, there is always a sweetness that God has placed into each day for us to get a hold of.
How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Psalm 119:103
(NIV)
Gracious words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
Proverbs 16:24
(NIV)
The Lord works in so many amazing ways. It is not always clear to me what I need to see or learn, however, it is always there. My focus needs to be to intentionally search for that sweetness that has been provided and to hold tightly onto this to get through the next hurdle of life. So gather your sweetness in whichever form it comes and live through to the next batch so that before you know it you will have a garden full of sweetness.
So he said to them,“Out of the eater came something to eat,
And out of the strong came something sweet.”
Judges 14:14
God's thoughts and actions toward are sweet because He helps us build in our understandings through sweet times and through times in the valley.
He does things that help us to grow
or whispers sweet things that
make life a treasure.
