We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Saturday Writing...12/8/18..."GOD GIVE ME PATIENCE"

Good Morning,

Today the topic is that God is never late and that we should attempt to develop patience as we wait for Him/ Carol wrote, "Life isn't easy but the more we concentrate on the fact that these trials and troubles are only momentary in comparison to the glory which awaits us we'll learn to wait on God with contentment and joy.  God is never early, but He's also never late."

So pray to God for Patience while you wait for Him. It will be more than worth the wait.
Carol

 Today's Devotional
"GOD GIVE ME PATIENCE"
Written by
Carol Steficek

"The creation waits in eager expectation
for the sons of God to be revealed.
But if we hope for what we do not yet have,
 we wait for it patiently."
Romans 8:19, 25

So, in this age of "instant gratification" and advancing technology do people really wait patiently?  I don't think so, at least not most of the time.  We do spend a lot of time waiting though -- in lines, at traffic lights, at railroad crossings, at appointments, on the phone while on hold.  We are children of God through faith in Jesus, and yet we have to wait for some things to be fulfilled -- the full redemption of our bodies and Jesus coming back to earth again for His Church.

Meanwhile, sin and all of the consequences of living on this earth remain.  We fight diseases, infirmities of many kinds, the "battle of the bulge" wanting to get into better physical shape, unanswered prayers -- the list goes on. Being patient will not take any of our challenges and troubles away.

Still, having to wait on God and trust in Him will change us and our attitudes towards all of the circumstances we face.  Life isn't easy but the more we concentrate on the fact that these trials and troubles are only momentary in comparison to the glory which awaits us we'll learn to wait on God with contentment and joy.  God is never early, but He's also never late.
