Good Morning,
Today's writing considers the issues built around aging. We all worry about aging at one time or another. We find ourselves not able to do the things we have always been able to accomplish. We notice stiffness and muscle ache and it is hard to accept. However there is a side to this issue that has hope. People adjust themselves and do the things that they are still able. There are so many elderly folks who do what they can in their own way and let go of the things that they can't. Carol wrote, "God has a way of drawing us close to Himself as we lean on Him. Actually, we should practice leaning on Him all the time, not just in the time of old age."
Allow yourself to be your unique personage as you move into your golden years

"GOD IS FAITHFUL"

"Do not cast me
off in the time of old age;
do not forsake me when my strength fails."
Psalm 71:9
As we age we can feel
pretty vulnerable and not very useful anymore. I often joke that I'm not
"30 even on one side anymore."
But, aging and all the
challenges that come with it are no laughing matter. Besides not being
able to do as much, and sometimes what we would like to do. So much of what we
think about ourselves is wrapped up in memories of our younger years and what
we did for a living, as a homemaker, or whatever.
We just need to look in
the Bible, however, to learn that God never casts us away and He also uses us
throughout our lives. David was still used by God even into his old
age. Moses started his third career at age 80. Abraham and Sarah
had a baby when they were too old to even consider this. We are still
valued by God no matter what.

God also promises to
never leave us:
"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
and I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
and I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:10.
God has a way of
drawing us close to Himself as we lean on Him. Actually, we should
practice leaning on Him all the time, not just in the time of old age.
