We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Friday Writing,,,10/26/18..."In His Presence"

Good Morning,

This writing is about how we are now invited to go directly into the presence of God through the love and sacrifice of Jesus. The temple veil was torn in half by His death and opened the way to enter the Holy of Holies personally. We know and understand this theological thought. However, when you consider it as I have while working on this devotional and as you will as you read it it just brings on a sense of awe and wonder. Karen wrote, "God helps us in everything. He wants us with Him. One of the most wonderful things we know is that WE ARE HIS!!! He created us for His pleasure and takes delight in us."

Thanks for the awesomeness of God's love in our lives.
Karen

"In His Presence"

We are so blessed to be able to go directly to God in prayer and ask forgiveness for our sins. We don’t need to sacrifice animals on an altar through a high priest seeking our forgiveness for us. We can present our supplications directly to our Father in Jesus’ name, as Jesus told us.

When Christ died on the cross several very significant things happened: signs of the fulfillment of Scripture and of things to come. One of the new things was Him opening the door for us to approach God directly.

“With a loud cry, Jesus breathed His last.
The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.”
Mark 15: 37-38.

That curtain was the entrance to the Holy of Holies, a chamber in the temple. Only the high priest could enter once per year on the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, to sacrifice for the sins of the Children of Israel. The tearing of that curtain signified the end of that practice and the beginning of being of being able to approach God themselves. There was no longer any barrier between God and His people.

I may approach God with freedom and confidence.”
Ephesians 3:12
.

God tells us repeatedly to come to Him. What a beautiful thing it is to be able to talk with Him at any moment we need to, any moment we want. He is always there, ready to comfort and console, ready to provide and refresh, ready to celebrate - for any and all reasons  which we might need from Him.

It’s also a comfort to know He is completely aware of all we are feeling. If we’re unable to find the words, we know the Holy Spirit is praying along with us and for us. He is using all the right words or sounds to convey it to God according to God’s liking and will.

God helps us in everything. He wants us with Him. One of the most wonderful things we know is that WE ARE HIS!!! He created us for His pleasure and takes delight in us. He is the consummate Father who loves His children more than they can know.

ABBA,
Thank You for being approachable and inviting us to come to you. Help us remember Your arms are always open and You welcome us. You never turn us away and Your love is complete and unconditional. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

PROVERBS 26

26:1  Like snow in summer or rain in harvest,
honor is not fitting for a fool.

26:10  Like an archer who wounds at random
is one who hires a fool or any passer-by

26:17  Like one who grabs a stray dog by the ears
is someone who rushes into a quarrel not their own.
