We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,

Monthly Writing for October...10/1/18..."BEHOLD I DO A NEW THING"

Good morning.

Today's writing is shared by Cathy Friberg who writes at the beginning of every month. The writing  is called, "BEHOLD I DO A NEW THING" which discusses how you can find something new that God has given you if you do not hang breathlessly onto  your comfort zone. Cathy wrote, "Father, thank you for the ways in which you move. Your vision and resourcefulness astound us. They are a part of your glorious nature. You are brilliant and your artful designs are limitless. Help us to be attuned to the fresh and various ways you desire to further your Kingdom in this complex world in which we live."

Maybe October would be a good month to look around and also listen to what the Lord is telling you about something new you could try.

Blessings from
Cathy

"BEHOLD I DO A NEW THING"

For the past two years I have been part of a telephone ministry which prays 24/7 for the United States of America. It has been a wonderful experience and I believe it has been effective. Praying with others and sharing your hearts is a beautiful way to connect with fellow believers. Being able to intercede with people from all over America at any time of day or night has been exciting and yet comforting at the same time. It is amazing how well you get to know others just by hearing their voices.

Listening to Southern accents, Brooklyn accents, and Midwestern accents has given me a sense of the rich tapestry of our American heritage. One of our faithful and powerful prayer warriors is a woman who converted from Islam to Christianity.

I love to pray and for many years have been part of a church intercessory group. However, being older now, I do not relish driving at night to and from the meetings. Also, being locked into a certain evening and time is sometimes prohibitive. I had asked the Lord for a group more suitable to my situation and He graciously answered by leading me to this ministry. It has been a joy and I have truly appreciated the humble, unpretentious and sincere remnant of Christ who make up this team. There has been a precious unity of spirit and cooperative attitude among the members. Being able to join with Christians daily has brought a feeling of intimacy and solidarity with other believers.

Along the same vein, a friend of mine just told me about an online Bible Study which she recently joined. It is world wide and the members Skype or rather "Zoom" together weekly. She had also prayed to God asking for a more a suitable Bible Study and she was led to this group. She is delighted and, like me, enjoys the convenience and yet excitement of this mode of communication.

I guess the point of all this is that it is good to be open to new things the Lord is doing. He is a big God, as they say, and we cannot hem Him in. We do need face to face contact with others and should not forsake that. However, neither should we dismiss modern technology as a means of bringing God's people together. Safety issues, heavy traffic and inclement weather, especially in other parts of our country, can make Christian gatherings difficult if not impossible sometimes. The Lord meets us where we are at. His creativity can take the pressure off of our endeavors and make our yokes easy and our burdens light.

Father, thank you for the ways in which you move. Your vision and resourcefulness astound us. They are a part of your glorious nature. You are brilliant and your artful designs are limitless. Help us to be attuned to the fresh and various ways you desire to further your Kingdom in this complex world in which we live.

 "Be alert, be present.
I’m about to do something brand-new.
It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?
There it is! I’m making a road through the desert,
    rivers in the badlands"

Isaiah 43:19

  2. This is awesome. I am part of 3 Facebook Prayer Groups. 1 is for our church. It is awesome to be connected even when I am on travel. The others are for two of our Military Academies. The Coast Guard Academy (594 members)and West Point ( 2159 Members) While FB does not allow one to hear the accents, it is awesome to pray with people all over the country and even in other countries. I post scriptures on these sites daily and pray the scriptures for the member of the groups and their families.
