Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Friday Writing...9/7/28..."We Cannot Imagine?

Good Morning

Today the writing is about how people can be evaluated by God as to the timing of his life events. God's time is always correct. It is always good to have habits of being upright and a person who goes to heaven at the time of his or her death should not be mourned. Karen wrote, "I am grateful to God he (Karen's cousin) was a man of faith. We all know that our precious gift from God for being faithful until death is eternal life with Him. No tears, no pain, no sorrow, absolutely nothing unpleasant. It’s perfection!"

Onto perfection in God's timing.

Today's Devotional

"We Cannot Imagine?
Written by
Karen Bennett

I began writing the Friday Devotion, happy to speak of the love God has for us, and thrilled, as always, at the depth of His love, which is actually unfathomable to us.

The phone rang. My sister was calling from Wisconsin to tell me my cousin Jim had passed. I had known he was a cancer patient in a hospital hospice ward, and doing very poorlyWe had all been praying for him, of course, as his condition was very grave and he was no longer cognizant. Hearts ached for him and prayers were lifted for his relief.

We all know God’s timing is not our timing, so we waited patiently, loving him and praying for him. It was particularly difficult for me with Jim in Wisconsin and me in Arizona, and not being able to see him.

I thought back on childhood memories and some fun times we shared even though he was a couple of years older than I. When we got older, we became good friends till I left Wisconsin all those many years ago.

I am grateful to God he was a man of faith. We all know that our precious gift from God for being faithful until death is eternal life with Him. No tears, no pain, no sorrow, absolutely nothing unpleasant. It’s perfection!

Why wouldn’t we be happy for a loved one gone to heaven? Why would we selfishly wish them back with us in this imperfect world just so we could be with them again? We’re human and don’t want to let go, but we will be there one day as well. It’s what we live our lives for and we surely would not want to come back to this earth. Remember one day all we believers will be in Paradise with our beautiful Lord. That love we will never want to be without, and wonderfully we won’t have to be!

“May you grasp how wide and long

and high and deep
My love for you is,
a love that surpasses knowledge...
you cannot ask or imagine the things
I am planning for you.”
Ephesians 3:16-21.

Father, Your promise of eternal life with You for all believers is a joy unlike anything we can imagine, just as You said. I’m so glad to know my cousin was a believer and is with you now. May we all look forward to our day when we can finally begin life with You forever. In Your name we pray. Amen.
