Good Morning,
The theme today is about worship in the form of dancing. David danced in praise before the Lord. It seems to be a beautiful form of praise that most people are not using very often. Corinne wrote, "Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. Dance with joy for the blessings that are yours. Take a lesson from King David....and maybe, while you are at it, you can write a Psalm or two."
Why not dance to the Loed today? You and God will enjoy it!

"Dancing With Abandon"
by

Then David...
came dancing
before the Lord
with abandon.
2 Samuel 6:14
We are so scheduled up. We have our noses to the grindstone. We spend hours fixated on electronic screens of various sorts. We mistake slogging through our lists for really living.
Dancing before the Lord with abandon? Who does that? The dried cornflower stalks in my yard, bobbing in the cold wind; a dashing red cardinal flitting gracefully, branch to branch; my toddler grandson darting back and forth with glee when he opens the front door, to find Grandma came to visit; school children released in late winter afternoon; a young girl in petite ballet slippers and twirling.
If these inanimate objects can sway and act like dancers letting the wind move them joyfully in a praise to the God of the universe, why can't we, who can move by choice, do the same? We have so much awareness of the blessings we have, so why don't we behave more joyfully. We trudge through the days bogged down with the cares we carry and neglecting to think of the blessings that are ours. What a waste! The remedy comes through thankfulness when it becomes our daily habit. We may not always be happy, but we will have joy
Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. Dance with joy for the blessings that are yours. Take a lesson from King David....and maybe, while you are at it, you can write a Psalm or two. Let your life become a dance of thanks and joy unto the Lord. Dance with abandon as if no one is watching. However, do not ever forget that Someone is actually watching!
