Women's Focus Ministries

Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Friday Writing...8/24/18... "Delay Not"

Good Morning

The writing for today considers the idea that we should delay not when it comes to reaching out to Jesus with our love  and in our times of challenge. He waits for us and wants to support us through all our trials. Karen wrote, "When our hearts are happy, You rejoice with us. When we are troubled, You comfort us and forgive us. You are always the answer and You are always there. We love You, God of our lives. In Your holy name we pray.

We hope you will "delay not" and follow this suggestion always.

Today's Devotional

"Delay Not"
Written by
Karen Bennett

“Delay not , delay not, O sinner draw near.
The waters of life are now flowing for thee.
No price is demanded; the Savior is here;
Redemption is purchased, salvation is free.”
Verse 1 Old Lutheran Hymnal # 278

Jesus is waiting for us! Yes! Jesus is waiting for us! What fantastic knowledge. The King of kings and Lord of lords waits and wants us to accept Him, to believe in Him and love Him.

He loves us without reservation, unconditionally, yet He doesn’t force Himself on us. We are invited into the family of God, but we are never forced. We are informed of the consequences of not loving Him or believing in Him, but the choice is ours!

Being a member of God’s family is wonderment and joy. We are promised forgiveness of all our sins when we sincerely repent. He’s made many promises to us and wants us to believe in all of them and the love He showers on us through those promises. Believing in them and living them makes our lives easier and happier.

We should cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us. We are told that in Scripture. What loving Father wouldn’t want his children to come to Him at all times? His arms are open to us to welcome us and enfold us, to love, to forgive, and to bless!

Don’t wait! Delay not! He is waiting for you with a heart brimming with love. Don’t rob yourself of a moment with God in your life! Be filled with His Spirit and all the security and happiness He gives us.

“Glorify the Lord with me;
let us exalt His name together.”
Psalm 34:3

Abba - Daddy - Thank You for inviting us to run to You, for opening Your arms wide to enfold us with Your love and forgiveness. When our hearts are happy, You rejoice with us. When we are troubled, You comfort us and forgive us. You are always the answer and You are always there. We love You, God of our lives. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
