Good Morning,

The theme for today is that when we teach the word of God we become children God. We are doing the work that He has created for us to do. Karen wrote, "Let us go out with great joy in our hearts, eager to share God’s word, giving the promises for the Holy Spirit to cultivate in all who hear. We are Planters of Promises. We are told to have an answer for all those who ask our reason for the hope we have!"

Go off into the world with the intention of Planting God's Promises.

Today's Devotional 

"Planters of Promises"

What an honor it is to be God’s child! What a tremendous blessing! We are recipients of the greatest love known to man, the love that sent Christ to the cross to redeem us! We reap the benefits and blessings of that love every day. It is so great, so plentiful, and we are told to share it with everyone.

We do this by teaching God’s word. In that word we find a multitude of His promises to
those who love Him and believe in Him. We’re promised the forgiveness of all our sins! We’re promised we will never have to face anything alone, as He will strengthen us and never leave us or forsake us! We’re promised a life of eternal bliss with Him in heaven! The list goes on and on and we live our lives in the comfort of their certainties. We also want to follow our Lord’s command to reach others, that peace and joy, as well as hope, will fill their lives as ours are filled.

“If anyone speaks, he should do it 

as one speaking the very words of God.

 If anyone serves, he should do it 

with the strength God provides, 

so that in all things God may be praised 

through Jesus Christ. 

To Him be the glory and the power

 forever and ever. Amen.”

1 Peter 4:11. 

Let us go out with great joy in our hearts, eager to share God’s word, giving the promises for the Holy Spirit to cultivate in all who hear. We are Planters of Promises. We are told to have an answer for all those who ask our reason for the hope we have! Promises! Jesus’ sacrifice and all the promises that includes. To God be the glory! Spread the word!

Lord God, Holy Spirit, May we plant promises for You to cultivate. Fill our hearts with the determination to go out with great joy and share the word for You to nourish in all hearts opened to You, filling them with new life on this earth and the great and incomparable hope of heavenly eternity with You! In Jesus name! Amen.
