Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Thursday Writing...7/19/18..."BE LIGHT TO THE WORLD"

Good Morning.

The theme of the writing today is that we must be willing to reach out to others and lead them with compassion. Whatever we do and wherever we go we are in a mission field. We need to keep this in mind every day. In this way we are seen as the light of the good shepherd in our world. Here is a quotation from this writing, "So let the light of the Good Shepherd shine so that others may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

In this role we will be able to change many things in this world.

Today's Devotional

"BE LIGHT TO THE WORLD"
by Brother Thomas Ukwute
            and Jody Ward

When Jesus saw the vast crowds, He was deeply moved and felt compassion concerning them because they were troubled and helpless. He felt sorry for them because they were so distressed, worried and helpless.
Looking out over the people, He felt pity for the them because their problems were so great they didn’t know what to do or where to go for help. His heart broke as He saw them weary, confused and aimless, like lost sheep without a shepherd.

Matthew 9:36

Passion, and compassion, comes from how we view the object in front of us. Our perception of the work God placed in our hands depends on how we respond to it.

We cannot lead with passion if we do not see the needs, the depravity, the suffering and the ultimate end of those who have not given their lives to Christ. We cannot not lead with passion if all we think about is what we get from the people we are called to lead.

Remember, the way of the shepherd Is to work for the ultimate good of the sheep.
May the Lord open our eyes to see the field of harvest in our families, our friends, our communities, our workplace, our neighborhood, our leaders and even those who oppose us.

Remember that we are the missionary wherever we go – the school where we teach, the marketplace where we do business, the work place where we are employed, the community where we live, the city we call home.

As leaders, we are leading people to Christ with the same passion for the crowds, and compassion for the people, that Jesus displayed.

We share the passion of the compassion of Christ for the lost sheep, the weary, the hurting, the distressed, the worried and the helpless, because we know the Shepherd.

So let the light of the Good Shepherd shine so that others may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
